Islands 1 and 2[edit]

TROG Island 1.png

Welcome to the game. On the first two islands, there are forty-three eggs (of each colour, if you are not playing alone, but, if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners will not be there, and if Rex is not present there will be one in the top-left corner) and only Brown Trogs; also, in a multiplayer game, the islands are obviously not big enough to accommodate 43 eggs in a maximum of four colours so new ones will appear in the empty spaces as the triceratopses collect them. Once one of the triceratopses has collected all of his (or her, in the case of Gwen) eggs, his (or her, in the case of Gwen) "HOME" base will open up on the island and the song you had been hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will change - and once he (or she, in the case of Gwen) has reached it you will all be treated to a cutscene with that triceratops doing a unique dance as the text "(TRICERATOPS NAME)! EXCELLENT!/CONGRATULATIONS!/NICE WORK!/GOOD JOB!/DINO-MITE" appears at the top of the screen, the text "75,000 POINTS FOR WINNING." will also appear at the bottom of i). Also, if a player joins the game while the stage is in progress, all the remaining eggs on the island will be changed to striped Easter-like ones that all four of the triceratopses can collect; the bonus for winning shall also be reduced to 25,000 as a result of this.

Island 3[edit]

On this island, there are forty-one eggs (again, of each colour if you are not playing alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners will again not be there, and if Rex isn't present there will again be one in the top-left corner), and for a second time only Brown Trogs.

Island 4[edit]

On this island, there are forty-three eggs (once again, of each colour if you are not playing it alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners will once again not be there, and if Rex isn't present there will once again be one in the top-left corner), and only Red Trogs.

Island 5[edit]

TROG Island 5.png

On this island, there are forty-one eggs (yet again, of each colour, if you are not playing alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners will again not be there, and if Rex isn't present there will again be one in the top-left corner), and this time Brown and Red Trogs.

Island 6[edit]

TROG Island 6.png

On this island, there are forty-eggs (for a 5th time, of each colour, if you are not playing alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners will again not be there, and if Rex is not present, there will again be one in the top-left corner), and again, Brown and Red Trogs.

Island 7 (Bonus Stage)[edit]

TROG Island 7.png

At the start of this island, the text "BONUS WAVE. TROG FEAST! ALL YOU CAN EAT! (YOU HAVE 25 SECONDS)." will appear on the screen; all four triceratopses will then automatically transform into tyrannosauruses, as the "Tyranno-Power" theme begins to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and twenty-four Trogs, twenty-one Brown and three Red, emerge from the ground and start running around the island in terror. You will receive 10000 points for every Trog you eat - and if you eat all twenty-four of them between you, before the timer runs out, the text "OUTRAGEOUS MEAL! 100,000 POINTS FOR EVERYONE." shall appear on the screen (however, if you do not manage it the text "TIME IS UP!" will appear instead). After this stage, you will all be treated to a first cutscene of "Trogs' Cave", which shows a Brown Trog carving a picture of a hamburger and chips, a slice of pizza or a roast chicken onto the wall (which of the foods he carves into the wall shall be randomly-generated by the game), then imagining one of the triceratopses as the same.

Island 8[edit]

TROG Island 8.png

On this island, there are forty-one eggs (for a 6th time, of each colour, if you are not playing alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners shall again not be there, and if Rex is not present, there will again be one in the top-left corner), and once again Brown and Red Trogs; there's also a pair of red Warp Doors (which will warp the triceratopses from one to the other when entered but the Trogs can use them too).

Island 9[edit]

TROG Island 9.png

On this island, there are thirty-nine eggs (for a 7th time, of each colour, if you are not playing this alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners shall again not be there, and if Rex is not present, there shall again be one in the top-left corner), and, yet again, Brown and Red Trogs; there's also two pairs of red and blue Warp Doors (which will again warp the triceratopses and Trogs from one to the other, on entering).

Island 10[edit]

TROG Island 10.png

On this island, there are thirty-seven eggs (for an 8th time, of each colour, if you are not playing alone, but if Bloop or Spike are present, the eggs in the top-right and bottom-left corners shall again not be there, and if Rex is not present, there shall again be one in the top-left corner), and, for the fifth time, Brown and Red Trogs; there is also three pairs of red, blue and yellow Warp Doors (which will once again warp the triceratopses and Trogs from one to the other). The next island, which will be described on the next page, also introduces the Blue Trogs - so you'll have to watch out for their stone wheels.
