Beginning cutscene

The second mission has Harry pursuing Aziz in a mall in Washington, D.C. He moves in to subdue the Crimson Jihad ringleader, but his men come to back him up and cause Harry problems.

Briefing[edit]

From Gib's level briefing:

Aziz is somewhere in the mall, Harry. It's up to you to bring him in. Don't hit any of the civilians!

Stage[edit]

Like in the previous level, we got shoppers roaming around in the mall. Why they would shop there during a terrorist attack no one knows why, but they are and we can't kill them. To begin, walk right around where the top blue diamond tile is and after a bit, fire your weapon and you'll have a green henchman in your sights. After that, another one will come from the bottom, so take him out. Once at the dead end, head towards the bottom and go right and take out the baddie blocking the way. After that is another henchman who will pop in and out to shoot at you, so take adequate cover and kill him. After that, another open area with shotgun shells and a terrorist behind the bench. Keep heading right and another bad guy will come from where the plant is. After dealing with him, head towards the end with a baddie in front of the plant and another in front between the two escalators. For the former, you can shoot through the plant and kill him. The latter is guarding a health pick-up. Head up the escalator to the second floor.

On the second floor, kill the henchman in front of the plant and be mindful of the one diagonally to your left. Go up a little bit and you'll see a red shirt henchman right of the escalator. Kill him and grab the shotgun behind him, giving you a little bit more firepower, especially here where you'll face a lot of close-range combat. Go left a little bit and you'll see two guys near the top and bottom of the pool respectively. They will both throw grenades at you, so be careful. Sometimes those grenades will blow up civilians but that won't count against you as long as you're not the ones killing them. One trick is to get the timing of their throws and shoot them before they toss the grenades, causing them to drop it and blow themselves up. In the little area to the left of the escalator are two henchmen and Uzi ammo. Go up the escalator.

As you head up to the next floor, a red shirt henchman will approach you. A couple of shotgun blasts will do him in. With another pool, a henchman will be in the upper left of the pool. Continuing on will be another henchman walking towards you and all the way at the end are two more henchman: one to the right of the plant and another at the side of the pool, lobbing grenades at you. At the bottom pool are two more henchman. Kill them and collect the Uzi. Head back down to the previous floor.

Continuing where we left off, continue left in the upper area with a pool. Another henchman will approach you. At the end are two more henchman with one of the being a grenadier. After killing them collect the Uzi ammo. Below is another grenade lobber. To the right are two more henchmen, a green and a red. Continue to the bottom left and take out another henchmen. At the end of the store front is a henchman that will pop in and out to shoot you. Kill him and continue upwards where a red shirt henchman will come at you. Continue upwards and in front of the two escalators is another grenadier. Kill him and collect the extra life where he was standing. Go up the escalator.

In the new floor, go right and take out another grenadier. Two pathways to take. Upwards is a dead end, but with a grenadier and more Uzi ammo. Head down and take out the henchman and the other one peek-a-booing you. Continue upwards and kill two more henchman with the last one blocking the escalator. Go up the escalator.

Two ways to go. From the escalator, head left and go down the wider pathway and kill the henchman above the plant and continue down. All the way at the bottom is another henchman and a health pick-up. Go all the way back up and go left again. Take the narrow pathway down and at the bottom is another henchman and more Uzi ammo. Now it's time to go the right way from the escalator. After the escalator, go down the narrow pathway and kill the two grenadiers and collect an extra life for your reward. Head back up and continue right with a red shirt henchman charging at you. At the end are two more bad guys: one grenadier above near the garden and one in front of the plant. Take them out then kill the grenadier blocking the escalator. Head down the escalator.

To the left is the food court. A peek-a-boo henchman will shoot at you. Kill him In front of the restaurant are two grenadiers to the left and right respectively. After disposing of them, collect the shotgun shells. Now head to the right from the escalator. In front of the garden is another health pick-up. A henchman will come at you from the top. Keep going up and face off with two henchman with one in front of the directory sign (you can shoot through the sign) and another near the railing. Above the directory sign is more shotgun shells. Head right as another henchman approaches you then take the downwards path. Near the bench are more shells and another health pick-up to the left and right respectively and a red shirt henchman comes after you once you make the area. Now in front of the bathroom door are three men, with one of them being a grenadier and another a red shirt. Save the grenadier for last as you can go right at him and deliver a shotgun blast to him. Head inside the bathroom.

Two henchman are using the urinals. Pop in and deliver a few rounds towards them. After they're done for head upwards to the stalls. Get your Uzi ready for this part to make this quicker on you.

Use your Uzi to destroy the stall doors as qucik as possible before the shotgunner comes in.

The stalls will have three doors that will spawn unlimited henchmen unless you destroy the doors. The left and right will spawn the green shirts and the middle will spawn the red shirts. Take out the middle first and then the rest and for quick results try to ignore the henchman unless they're doing great damage to you. Eventually a shotgunner will come in. Don't get caught in his blast as it will do a great deal of damage. After the doors and henchmen are dead, now we can focus on the shotgunner. The trick is to have him walk towards you and let loose your weaponry on him and when he stops, dive the opposite way as he will shoot at at you. Get your own shotgun out and blast him with the shells of your own. Repeat this pattern until he dies.

Keep him coming at you and squueze off a few rounds. Take a dive towards the opposite direction when he stops moving as he's about to give you a blast himself.

You'll hear from Gib once again letting you know Aziz escaped during the battle and is heading to the park. Mission accomplished.
