For the fourth mission, thanks to the info Harry got from the Chateau, the Omega Sector knows about a hidden Crimson Jihad hideout in a subway. Harry goes in and finds not only the terrorists guarding the area, but a case where you do not want to catch a train.

Briefing[edit]

From Gib's level briefing

We believe the Crimson Jihad have a stronghold in here. It’s bound to be a bit messy, so when you find it, take some time to do a little spring cleaning.

Stage[edit]

Moving from your starting position will be an area with crates, some stacked on top of each other. Head left into the area and a henchman will greet you in this place. Kill him, then moving past the crates above you will be another henchman, you might not see him at first, but he will fire at you, so start shooting. Moving left and staying low, you’ll find another henchman roaming around and at the end will be a stationary terrorist. Move on up and another henchman will come at you while there will be two others on each side of the crates. The one on the left side will throw grenades at you, so take him out quick. Where he was, there will be a health pick-up in front of the door. Note that the doors cannot be entered at all, they’re there for decoration. Move onto the right side and there will be two more henchmen for you to take out. After this, you will see a wooden crate with a skull and crossbones label on it. Shoot it, but keep your distance at it will explode and will damage you if you’re too close. But where that crate was is some grenades. On the other side of the crate wall is some Uzi ammo.

Now head upwards to the path where the steam is emitting from the walls. Be sure not to come in contact with the steam as it will damage you. Making your way past this will be a peek-a-booing henchman. Kill him, then you’ll have a redshirt blocking your exit. Once he’s done for, head upwards where you will meet a henchman and on other side of crates will be another henchman throwing grenades at you. You can wait until you get into that area to take him out or throw a grenade yourself to save you the trouble. If you do this, his body might fly into the mines on the ground, blowing them up making it easier for you to get that Uzi ammo when you come to it. Head up the steps and Gib will let you know that the Crimson Jihad stronghold will be on the other side of the tracks, but because of the non-stop train here, you will have to redirect the tracks somehow. Do not touch the train as it will result in an instant death. Moving on, kill the henchman in your path then head down the steps. Be careful as you will walk right into a redshirt grenadier opposite the crate. Just toss one of your own and take him down. Move on and kill the henchman and collect the Uzi ammo where the first grenadier was.

Two paths to take here: right and down. Head to the down one first where you’ll head into a locker room where a redshirt will try and introduce himself to you. Above the lockers will be a greenshirt who will weave in and out to attack. But after you kill him, head to the door where he was and you can get some health. Below the locker is another redshirt. After you kill him, you’ll find an Uzi that’s yours for the taking, but steam is blowing out, so move quickly and snatch it. Now head onto the right path. Be careful of the mines here, which blow up if you walk on them and will do some good damage on you. Note a henchman will walk towards you, but you can lure him onto a mine and he’ll blow himself up. Now two ways down. Go into the second way first with a henchman and a redshirt. Don’t forget the shotgun shells in front of the door as well as more shells and Uzi ammo at the bottom. Now exit and head down the first way, once again evading the mines, and in tight proximity, too. It can be easy to accidentally walk into on, so again be careful. You’ll run into another little locker room with two henchmen to take down and a few more mines inside. Health will be in front of the main lockers. Once again, you’ll see a skull crate. Shoot it and walk towards where it was and you’ll find a secret area with an extra live and a shotgun. After we’re done with that area, go down the stairs.

You’ll be in a new screen where a redshirt will approach you as well as a stationary redshirt waiting for you. Once again, more mines here as you make your way left to kill a henchman and another redshirt. Three ways to go that lead to the same area, but you’ll have an enemy to deal with. The left and right ways will have greenshirts, the first one being a grenadier, while the middle has a redshirt. In the left and right corners will be Uzi ammo and health respectively, but again, steam will blow where they are. Head to the box on the wall and Gib will let you know it’s a switchbox and you need to find the switch. It’s the one that can redirect the tracks. Now exit this area.

Back to the previous area, head right and you’ll find a barrier. Shoot at it until it explodes so you can get past. After killing another henchman, again, two ways to go, right and down. Head right first, but beware of the redshirt grenadier. Now near the lockers will be two flamethrower guys. They are dangerous, they will shoot a nice stream of flame that will burn through your health quickly and leave you crispy if you stick around. They are so well-placed, it can be hard to take them out because both might fire at once. So when they do, get in and shoot at one of them for a couple of seconds and get out before they fire. Repeat this until they die. After getting past them, you will find another shotgun. Now head for the lower area where there will be another henchman before heading into the right path with two more henchmen. You’ll find you way into an open area with a grenadier behind the boxes. If you got any grenades left, toss one in his direction. Move on and kill the two henchman and above the wall will be two redshirts. After they’re done for, head to where the grenadier was and collect more grenades and health. Note on the other side will be a redshirt grenadier and a greenshirt. Keep moving low and you will find another henchman standing near boxes. Once he’s out of your way, collect the Uzi ammo from the top and bottom where he was. One more henchman to kill as you make your way to the top and you’ll have another flamethrower guy standing in front of the door. Another henchman for you to kill and there will be another door flamethrower guy. One more henchman who will strafe where you are and head down the stairs into a new area. You’ll have some health to get but now you will have to cross the train tracks to get to your next area on the right. The trick is to head into where the doors are. Hurry as you’ll have a few seconds before the train passes by again and it will be an instant death if it runs over you and you will start at your last little checkpoint before crossing. While heading door to door, it would be best if you took a dive as you want to hurry into that area. Eventually you’ll reach an area with some steps where a henchman will meet you. Head up the steps to a room with two more henchmen and a redshirt blocking your path. Move along and two skull crates will block you. Destroy them and head down. Destroy one more skull crate in the little hole below for some health. Keep low and destroy another skull crate while avoiding the steam. Go and kill the henchman there, while avoiding the grenades of a red shirt from the other side. You can get some grenades where you just killed the terrorist at. You’ll note, bullets will come from a pathway towards you. Head into there and have your gun blazing so you can take out the redshirt. Continuing into the area, after more skull crates will be steam and two henchman of different color shirts will approach you. After they’re done for, there will be health and an extra life. But push down on the wall and there will be another secret area with Uzi ammo and health. Going back where the previous grenadier was will be two more colored terrorists. After this, there will be another set of tracks for you to cross. This time, head left.

Once in the newer area, head up the stairs and kill the redshirt and you will see a green shirt. But just move all the way to the left. He will follow you and walk into the line of mines, allowing you to walk by safely. Head up into the hole with another henchman facing you. There will be another Uzi above you when you enter with steam protecting it. Avoid the mine and kill the henchman in front of the door and another will be below you as well as a redshirt on the right opposite the mines and get some more Uzi ammo where he was once you past the steam. Head downwards and kill the redshirt, right and more skull crates blocking your path to destroy. Once past that, a chaingunner will meet you. Terminate him, then in the next room, a trio of greenshirts will come after you. Upwards right will be another redshirt. The upper left will have some health and where the last bad guy was will be some shells. You’ll find more skull crates, but destroy the one when the chaingunner gets close by. Another trio of greenshirts will come for you, but bait them to another skull crate and kill the survivors. Beware, one of them is a grenadier. Now the upper pathway where the steam is, slightly walk over but don’t go up it yet because in the wall below it will be a suicide bomber, which when he gets close enough to you, he will Allahu Akbar you and can do quite a bit of damage, and since you don’t want to get caught in the steam when he comes from you, head back, keep your distance and just shoot at him until he blows up harmlessly. Now head up the steamy pathway and you’ll have another area with more skull crates. Shoot them as they cover up holes where more suicide bombers await. Sometimes the exploding boxes will take them out, but if they survives, move quickly, being careful of the steam, and keep firing. Though sometimes, he will get steamed and get killed. Enemies can get hurt by the steam just as much as you. Move on up, but this time you can walk across the train tracks into an area with immobile train cars, but of course you will have some visitors with three henchmen. And no you cannot lure them into the tracks and hope they catch a train, so you need to kill them the old-fashion way. Move on up to the right and you’ll have another flamethrower guy. You’ll have more space so you can take him out at a safe distance. Keep going below where you just faced the flamethrower guy and head left to run into a chaingunner. After reaching the end, head up to face off with another flamethrower guy. Head where he was and go right and there will be a health. But watch out, another flamethrower guy will make you work for it. Proceed on up and deal with another chaingunner. After one more chaingunner, you’ll find yourself back on track with another moving train. Two choices to go here, either take the left way and play the tracks again or go upfront to the stairs.

Front stairs: Head up there and you’ll find yourself in an area with three henchmen and a bunch of mines. They were strafe follow you and each can be lead into the mines. After they’re taken care of, you can collect health and shells. As you go into the next area, a redshirt will run into you right before you head into a room with several pipes blowing steam. You will have a couple more redshirts come for you, but again, you can lead them into the steam to save you some bullets. The right corner will have some Uzi ammo. You’ll then head into another area with four doors and with stationary enemies. In order: a greenshirt, a redshirt and two flamethrower guys. After getting past them, shoot the skull crates to get to the next area. Beware of the suicide bomber who make lurk in the hole if he survived the explosions. After this, once again, another track to cross. Head left. After a brief trek, you’ll make it to a new area with a narrow hall. You will find 2 flamethrower guys hiding behind crates. The tight space might give you some trouble to fight them so just use grenades. Make your way into the next area where you will find the level to the switchbox we saw earlier. Also in this room are an extra life, more grenades and a redshirt. Head right into the stairs.

Another locker room. Head down straight and fire to get the redshirt. You will also have two chaingunners in the room as well. After they’re gone, collect the shells, Uzi ammo and grenades. Head up to the next area with three henchmen running towards you. After you kill them, get the Uzi ammo in the door and head down the hall into the next room with a flamethrower guy waiting for you. Health will be there once he’s exterminated. Destroy the skull crates and where the one covering the wall was, head inside for another secret with some Uzi ammo, but after this shoot as there will be another barrier. After that’s destroyed, you’ll find a shortcut to a familiar area. You’ll be a lot closer to the room with the switchbox. And yes, you could also use this as a shortcut to get the lever as well. Head to the switchbox and approach it. You’ll automatically put it in and Gib will let you know that the first train track you saw in the beginning is redirected, ergo, you can finally head into the Crimson Jihad hideout. Now head into this area and you’ll meet two henchmen standing behind skull crates. Unfortunately, they’re too far off to take them out alongside the crates, so just hurry up and destroy the crates and take them down. Shells will be in the room. Again another barrier is there to block you, so destroy it. Make your way into another locker room with five henchmen. After you killed them, you’ll have some health and more Uzi ammo so collect. After taking down another barrier, you’ll be in a room with six henchmen standing in front of tables. After killing them, collect the grenades, as they will definitely play a vital part in the last area as well as some more Uzi ammo. One more barrier will await you before you head downstairs for the final part. Health will be in front of the steps. If you’re low on energy, collect it. You will need it.

In this room, you will have four computers and a door in front of you. Gib will contact you and say this is the stronghold. Destroy the computers before the terrorists find you. After this, whip out the Uzi as two henchmen will come in immediately. After this, quickly toss three grenades near one of the upper two computers. Pull out the Uzi again as more enemies will come in so you can take them out quickly. Toss three more grenades on the other upper computer. If they’re not destroyed, use your Uzi until they blow up, but beware as the door opens each time, more baddies will come in and they get tougher. It starts off as the green shirts, but then eventually the redshirts, suicide bombers, shotgun guys and the chaingunners will come in to stop you. After the upper computers are destroyed, head underneath the lower left computer and toss some grenades at the lower right, damaging if not totally destroying it, then finish it off. As more enemies come it, the computer you’re behind is your cover. Once that’s left, the enemies should close in on you. So just shoot at the last computer until it blows up and the explosion should take care of those enemies. Mow down any surviving terrorists after this. Then Gib will praise you on a job well done and will inform you of a major arms shipment coming in at the docks for you guys to look at. And with that, another mission is complete.
