In any town, village and castle there are several generic characters with general text.

In each of the five towns there is a pub, that gives hints about several items. For each tip, one of two hints is given at random.

The Oracle

The Oracle is found in seven different villages. This character will give you a series of hints for a price.

• Time and travel made me wise
• Precious gold, a clue it buys!
• Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies
• 100 gold - The Queen is the King and the King is a Spy
• 200 gold - The evil men do is a horrible thing
• 300 gold - But dispelling means that you must have the ring
• 400 gold - Just where it is, I cannot say
• 500 gold - But I'll tell you right now, there is no other way
• 600 gold - I hear in a town where the water runs free
• 700 gold - There is an old man living under a tree
• 800 gold - He has not a name but he does have a clue
• 900 gold - Mayhaps if you find him, he'll tell it to you!
