Theme[edit]
Space station setting with star and planet backgrounds.
Description[edit]
Lots of levels and connected areas, including a teleporter-only area completely disconnected from the station. There are plenty of lifts, and a couple of no-grav zones. The overall gravity is lower than on other maps, causing players to float a little when not touching the ground.
Environmental Hazards[edit]
You can be knocked out of the station into space in certain areas, causing you to die instantly. Other places you can fall off a part of the station where there is still gravity and plummet to your death on the metallic base below.
Special Features[edit]
There is a teleporter that takes you up to an orbiting satellite with a laser turret on it that looks back at the station. Many combat areas are exposed to its view, so a turret sniper can take out a lot of people if left unchallenged.
There are low-grav zones (indicated by red sparkly atmosphere) that slow movement to a crawl while you swim through them.
Important Item Locations[edit]
-
Jump Boots: At a junction reached by the low-grav zone near the flak cannon.
-
Redeemer: On a small beam above the jump boots. You have to make two successful jumps to get it; one jump is to one of the two small ledges on either side, and then the other to the beam.
-
Superhealth: In a tunnel accessed by the same low-grav zone that leads to the jump boots, but on the other end.
-
U-Damage: Spawns near the top of the station, on the roof of one of the wide, curving rings.
-
Chest Armor: Inside the ring underneath where the UDamage spawns, about in the middle.
-
Shield Belt: In a small open area down the ramp from the rocket launcher.
Strategies & Tactics[edit]
- Avoid going down any of the low-grav zones to escape an enemy; you will be a sitting duck
- Use the turret until you start to draw enemy fire, then abandon it before you are sniped out of it
- The flak cannon alt-fire works well if you know how to use it in low gravity situations; the alt-fire canister shoots straight with no arc, similar to a rocket
