Rising Sun is the first map found in the campaign, and contains a small tutorial section for new players. When playing Instant Action, it is a simple 2-4 player deathmatch map.

Strategies and tactics[edit]

The main strategy in the map is to collect one of the weapons in line with the building - either the shock rifle, bio rifle, flak cannon, and rocket launcher. This line of weapons appears along the building and stairs leading towards these weapons. The two other weapons, the link gun and minigun, are usable, but don't provide a chance of a quick and instant kill.

There are two lifts on the side of the building, which give quick access to the flak cannon.

Important item locations[edit]

  • Bio rifle: Located below the stairs to the central area. This is on the same side as the shock rifle.
  • Shock Rifle: Located where the river flows into the arena (east of tutorial exit gate)
  • Link Gun: Located near the tutorial's exit gate.
  • Minigun: Located overlooking the river. (Opposite of tutorial exit gate)
  • Flak Cannon: Located on the second floor of the temple.
  • Rocket Launcher: Located in the side of the temple entrance. (Left of tutorial exit gate)
  • Armor vest: Found in the lower floor of the central building.

Other features[edit]

  • The corner corridors leading from the rocket launcher each contain four health vials.
  • Health pickups are near the flak cannon in the central building
  • You can lift jump or use an impact hammer to jump to the beam above the second floor, and collect a line of ten health vials.
