Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Chalkhead! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the editing article or the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Prod (Talk) 14:11, 6 February 2007 (CST)

If you would like to include images on pages, use the Special:Upload page. -- Prod (Talk) 14:32, 6 February 2007 (CST)
Please note that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords is the GBA game, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is the GC game. -- Prod (Talk) 16:27, 6 February 2007 (CST)
Please don't link to offsite images like on The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures/Items. If something happens to those images, it will look bad here. Upload the images using the Special:Upload page and then they can easily be included. Also remember to sign your comments on talk pages with ~~~~. If you want to ask some questions, leave a message on my talk page. -- Prod (Talk) 23:08, 14 February 2007 (CST)

Correct organization of guides[edit]

Please invest some time in looking at the Template:Header Nav template so you won't need to add a ToC to your walkthrough. In the meantime, take a look at the Ocarina of Time guide to see what the expectations of SW guides are.--Dan 19:53, 14 February 2007 (CST)

You can find instances of {{Header Nav}} being used on almost any good page; see the Chrono Trigger sub pages (or main page) for examples. --Notmyhandle 20:00, 14 February 2007 (CST)

Im sorry guys, im new to this and this is my first Guide. im trying to get the hang of it, so please forgive me.

Of course! We hope you enjoy your stay at StrategyWiki too! echelon 23:40, 14 February 2007 (CST)
We're here to help. We welcome new members because without them there's no way this compendium will thrive. Welcome to SW btw. --Notmyhandle 23:54, 14 February 2007 (CST)
The title is already at the top of the page, no need to add the title again. -- Prod (Talk) 15:11, 18 February 2007 (CST)

Copyright violation[edit]

Do not copy content from other sites without permission, it will be deleted. -- Prod (Talk) 15:14, 18 February 2007 (CST)

You have been warned before. -- Prod (Talk) 15:20, 18 February 2007 (CST)

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures/Lake Hylia[edit]

Hi. Is there any reason you just rewrote this page to "make it my own"? Nobody owns a page on a wiki, as they're made from the contributions of many people. --DrBob (Talk) 00:11, 2 March 2007 (CST)

Maybe he meant, "Made it on my own." <_< >_> Maaaaaaybe. --Notmyhandle 00:26, 2 March 2007 (CST)
It was a copyvio, he means he rewrote it. Please continue Chalkhead :). -- Prod (Talk) 00:29, 2 March 2007 (CST)
In that case I must apologise, and I hope to see more such contributions in future! :-) --DrBob (Talk) 00:52, 2 March 2007 (CST)
It's looking good! We may have quite the collection of Zelda guides soon. :) echelon 01:43, 2 March 2007 (CST)

Yeah sorry guys i was violating the copyright law thingy so i just started to rewrite it but following the same concept.. It still follows the same but it just didnt feel right and was wrong to do it the way i was so im rewriting the guide... If anyone wants to put there input or help write you are more than welcome(Of Course) To add onto the guide.

I've deleted all the copyrighted info, so the guide is clean now. It would be best if you picked a game and wrote the guide for it from your own experiences. However, whatever method you use to get your information, as long as you write the content yourself it's OK. I hope you enjoy writing up the guide :). If you have any questions, please ask. -- Prod (Talk) 22:53, 2 March 2007 (CST)

Image categorisation[edit]

I see you've been uploading a few images lately. When doing so, could you please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories? The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 20:45, 3 March 2007 (CST)

Additionally, when naming images, it is common practice to prefix them with the game's name or acronym, then include an underscore and the image's name. For example, the image Darklinkfsa.jpg should be named fsa_Darklink.jpg. This just makes it easier to see what game images are from. Thank you and keep improving SW as you see fit. --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 20:45, 3 March 2007 (CST)
