Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit source]

Hello Gorilli09! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the Discord server to chat. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the staff lounge as well. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Prod (talk) 21:18, 14 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

DualSense[edit source]

We have the {{psx}} template which should cover most of the buttons. Are there some missing? Also, your question should probably go on StrategyWiki:Staff lounge. -- Prod (talk) 22:30, 14 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

M.U.G.E.N. is not in scope for the site[edit source]

Sorry to have to remove your work, but M.U.G.E.N. simply doesn't fit the criteria of games we include in the site. It's not even really a game, as much as it is an engine, and very little of anything made out of M.U.G.E.N. is official or made with permission. So we can't include it on StrategyWiki. I hope you understand. Procyon 00:14, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We ♥ Katamari[edit source]

You may not unilaterally decide to rename a guide without talking to the rest of the community first, or at the very least some site administrators. The guide will remain "We ♥ Katamari" until there's been a proper discussion about whether or not the change it. Redirects are the proper way to handle the situation. PlayStation Studios[edit source]

From Wikipedia:PlayStation Studios#History - PlayStation Studios serves as the publishing brand for Sony's first-party development studios, as well as for games developed by studios brought in by Sony in work-for-hire situations.[6] -- Prod (talk) 13:46, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Guide renames[edit source]

If you feel a guide should be renamed, please bring it up to me. I have bots available to do things more easily. -- Prod (talk)

Controls[edit source]

The controls changes you made seem incorrect after checking available manuals online and have been undone. Please provide sources for your changes. -- Prod (talk) 20:41, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Do you have a source for the different controls between PS3 vs 4/5 for Grand Theft Auto V/Controls? -- Prod (talk) 18:49, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Although the changes to [[File:3ds-Button-{{{1}}}.png|{{{1}}} button|link=]] do make things easier in some cases, it removes giving the user an obvious "you're using the wrong name" by showing the result in red. We also want to keep those templates as simple as possible, cause they're used all over the site, and adding two #switch's shouldn't be _necessary_, even though it's helpful. However, we may need to review the casing convention we have in case some are inconsistent. -- Prod (talk) 21:45, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I believe we kinda stepped away from using the glow for "hold"ing down a button. I feel it doesn't really convey the idea of holding down the button properly. I think the closest we have is {{mod|Hold}}. -- Prod (talk) 18:27, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Discuss[edit source]

If you want to discuss, we can discuss and explain how we do things. If you want to type in all caps, you can take a break and come back when you've calmed down. -- Prod (talk) 21:38, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Talk page etiquette[edit source]

Please note that comments on talk pages should generally not be edited, as they are a snapshot of the dialogue. Some leeway can be given, but your recent edits are a bit much. Please make a new comment instead of editing an old one the next time.--Henke37 (talk) 14:25, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Series changes[edit source]

I don't think we should have {{Pixar}}. It's a company, not really a series since there's no connection between the games. Although they're now owned by Disney, it feels weird to include Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars in {{Disney}}. -- Prod (talk) 17:39, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ratatouille[edit source]

How many separate gameplay versions of Ratatouille are there? The PSP version has already been split off. Should the PS3/360 be split off as well? What about GBA/DS? -- Prod (talk) 03:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pokémon Ranger[edit source]

After further research from https://strategywiki.org/wiki/StrategyWiki:Guide/Scope, Virtual Consule is a licensed emulation service by Nintendo for the Wii U. The Virtual Console is now discontinued but if a person bought the Pokémon Ranger game in the Wii U eshop before the discontinuation, they can redownload the game. Based off this, the Virtual Console version of this game is in scope for the time being. Ewasser33 (talk) 02:02, 20 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Renaming guides[edit source]

Please don't rename guides that have subpages. There are a lot of pages and categories to rename. Please bring it up on the talk page with your reasoning. -- Prod (talk) 06:49, 28 December 2024 (UTC) Prod (talk) 06:49, 28 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Template:colist[edit source]

Colist should only be used for companies in the developer and publisher fields, when there's more than one. Otherwise it's simpler to just use one directly. -- Prod (talk) 21:42, 2 January 2025 (UTC) Prod (talk) 21:42, 2 January 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sega AM2[edit source]

Sega AM2 (1990-1999,2004-2011) and Sega-AM2 (2001-2004)were different phases of the division and should be categorized separately, which is also different from AM2 of CRI (2000-2001). -- Prod (talk) 00:18, 8 January 2025 (UTC) Prod (talk) 00:18, 8 January 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]

MIDI Maze[edit source]

Please elaborate on how they're different games as Wikipedia:MIDI Maze seems to say they're the same. -- Prod (talk) 05:00, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for if games are the same or not.--Henke37 (talk) 10:01, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's fine. Still looking for an answer to this as the provided edit summary was not helpful. -- Prod (talk) 19:14, 13 January 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]
