Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Keyan! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Header/Footer Navs[edit]

Hi, thanks for going back and adding the {{Header Nav}} template to Loom/Guilds. To make things easier, when you create a new page, you can just click the "Guide page" button above the edit text box, and it will automatically insert the Header and Footer Navs for you. Cheers, — najzereT 08:48, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Image uploads[edit]

Please see our policy on image naming and categorization. In the future, your image names should contain the name of the game or its abbreviation and a one or two word description. All images also need to have the appropriate categories added, as well as the guide-specific image category (i.e. [[Category:Rise of the Dragon images]]). --najzereT 17:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Also, for standardization purposes, please capitalize "Category" and the category name, e.g. [[Category:Screenshots]]. Thanks! — najzereT 17:03, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Not only need you to add at last 2 Categories, but you need to add the Gamename into it as well. Paco (talk) 18:33, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Preload buttons[edit]

The preload buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the preload buttons located above the edit text box, which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — najzereT 22:11, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Remember to use the 'Guide page' button when creating a new page for a walkthrough. Moydow T · C 14:00, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Codename: ICEMAN[edit]

Codename: ICEMAN has a space between the colon and ICEMAN; please include it wherever you use the game's name, or it may result in a broken link. Also, remember to include the game's name in any images you upload. Moydow T · C 15:32, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, remember that you can add links to the guide's Table of Contents page whenever you create a new page in a guide. Moydow T · C 22:06, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Martian Memorandum/Mars[edit]

I noticed that you set up this page without a main page. This page will get orphaned and likely lost unless it is part of a proper guide somewhere. -- Prod (Talk) 00:33, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Once again, it does not help us very much if you create a page for a guide that has no introduction. After you finish Heimdall/Characters‎, please create a front page for Heimdall. Please do not wait for someone else to do it for you. Thank you. Procyon 23:18, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Neutral point of view (NPOV)[edit]

Hi Keyan, please do not add references to yourself, such as the word "I", on guide pages. Readers cannot identify the author of the content and we do not allow signatures on guide pages. Also see wp:Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Thank you for your contributions, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:00, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

Understood. How do we refer to statements that are uncertain and/or need verification/revision by ourselves or another contributor? Thanks. Keyan (talk) 11:20, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
That's a messy issue. Usually it's best to put it on the talk/discussion page of the article, if its more than just one fact, but if the guide is still in the works its okay to put an editor note in. For example, I usually say something like "Some people think..." or "After some testing, it seems that... but that hasn't been verified". Or, you could just put "(unverified)". We don't want that on pages for guides that are considered "complete" as it lowers the quality of the page. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:07, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Creating pages[edit]

Before you start filling in the content of a page, please add it to Neuromancer/Table of Contents so it doesn't become orphaned (forgotten/lost). Thanks! --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:30, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

The page is still in the very initial stages so I was keeping adding it until later. I would not lose or forget it as I would keep track of my contributions but I get what you mean. Keyan (talk) 11:19, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
You should add link in TOC first before creating new pages, even if you don't forget it. Paco (talk) 12:24, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
You created a Walkthrough for Colonel Bequest, but didnt bother to create a TOC for it. Again TOC come first before creating Pages. Paco (talk) 05:46, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Ork maps[edit]

Have a look here. The first three maps are ready, I still need to do the last two, but the process is tedious, and I need a break. I'll let you know when the last two are ready. It's by no means perfect, but I think it's good enough. I shrunk the maps down by 50%. At their native size, they weren't very useful for guide purposes. Procyon 01:02, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

OK, maps 4 and 5 are up now. I tried my best to clean up the area around the door on the right side of level 5, but it's kind of messy. Anyway, that should do it. Let me know if you need anything else. Procyon 01:03, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

It Came from the Desert/Evidence[edit]

This page doesn't appear to be linked from the ToC. Can you add it? -- Prod (talk) 23:56, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
