Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Mike Unknown! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or ask a sysop, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Pre-load buttons[edit]

The pre-load buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the pre-load buttons located above the edit text box (e.g. click on "Guide page" to add {{Header Nav}} to the top and {{Footer Nav}} to the bottom), which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. These templates are very handy because they include the templates that are required for each page type. If you are unsure about how to use them, or what pages to use them on, please let me know. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — Procyon 02:38, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Reminder, please do not forget to use the preload buttons, the pages you are creating are missing the necessary header and footer navs. Thank you. Procyon 03:24, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
This is your third and final reminder. Could you please respond to these messages by confirming that you've read them? Thank you. Procyon 03:04, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't read your messages. I usually don't check my talk page. :( Mike Unknown 09:26, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Did you actually read these messages? You've left out the navs yet again. These templates absolutely must be added to every page you create. Continue to leave them out, and you'll earn yourself an even longer ban. --Moydow T · C 02:35, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Image uploads[edit]

Please see our policy on image naming and categorization. For consistency and ease of use throughout the wiki, image names should contain the name of the game or its abbreviation and a one or two word description. All images also need the appropriate categories added, as well as the guide-specific image category (e.g. [[Category:Game Name images]]). Thanks for helping to keep our images neat! — Procyon 03:24, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Please make sure that you add the following text: [[Category:Warcraft: Orcs & Humans image]] to the description of each WC1 image that you upload so that they are categorized correctly. Procyon 04:31, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Page locations[edit]

Please take a very close look at this diff to understand the corrections that I made to the Table of Contents. It is very important that ever page of your guide live inside the directory of your guide's title. If you plan on adding any more pages to the table of contents, they must follow this formatting. I already moved the Warcraft: Orcs & Humans/Human structures page to it's correct location for you. Procyon 04:31, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

I've modified the ToC a little bit, I removed the (Human) and (Orc) notes from the descriptions, since it's self explanatory by the section they're under. -- Prod (talk) 04:07, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Yes, thank you for doing this. When I started working on the Warcraft I: Orcs and Humans walkthrough, I copied the format of the page and copied-and-pasted it. When I tried creating it however, it took me to the original page. Is their a bug or something? --Mike Unknown (talk) 02:32, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
