Sims 2 image cat

Hey S2G, could you add [[Category:The Sims 2 images]] to any new Sims 2 images you add and any existing images that don't have it? I added it to one, so if you have it marked on your watch list you'll be able to identify which one that is... Also if you need an easy list of images you uploaded just check your user contributions (its in the Toolbox on the right side of the screen). Sims 2 expansion packs

Hi. I've gone through a number of the guides for the expansion packs to The Sims 2 and split them into subpages. Just so you know, I've marked each subpage as a stub, although I don't know if this is true for some of them. --DrBob (talk) 05:23, 22 December 2007 (CST)

Footer Nav removal

No one else added a footer nav to those pages in this guide. The Sims 2 doesn't have a standard start-to-finish walkthrough like other games so the footer nav would be pointless. Also, the footer nav only links back to the main game page.Sims2Guy 18:24, 11 January 2008 (CST)

Read {{Footer Nav}} to see how to get it to link elsewhere. It should link chronologically according to the Table of Contents. Having the Footer Nav is a requirement on guide pages. When you're adding footer navs, you only need to use the "prevname" or "nextname" parameters if you want the link text for either link to be different from the page names (i.e. don't use those two parameters if they're just going to be the same as the "prevpage" and "nextpage" parameters). As we try to minimize external links, if you could remove them/add the necessary content to the Sims 2 guide that it's lacking... well that would be awesome. Spore ToC

I like what you did with the Table of Contents for Spore, but I think we may be able to merge a couple of those pages. For example, the land, water, air, and space vehicle creators can probably be combined into one "Vehicle Creator." The reason being they are almost exactly the same with the exception of a few parts. Further, some of the pages seem like they may only be able to contain a small amount of information, such as the "Epic Creatures", "Huts", etc. I think that quite a bit of these can be combined with other pages.

My original idea was to have the majority of the information in each "Phase" page and then have the creator stuff in each "Creator" page. I still think that might be the best option. What do you think?--DukeRuckley^{Talk | Contribs} 00:49, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Spore is actually not a big game. Each phase is essentially a quick game, without enough information to split a walkthrough into multiple pages. I'm essentially against small, single-paragraph pages which I feel is what those extra pages will turn into. I think that we can effectively have a single-page walkthrough for each phase (with the exception of the creators, which should be pulled out).

Even if we add information on how to play as each path (red, blue, green) everything could still easily fit onto one page. For example: Under the Creature Phase page, we could have subsections that include "Socializing," "Fighting," "Finding Parts," and "Mating." This will put all of the pertinent information to that portion of the game into one page, so that the reader won't have to click through a bunch of links to find what they want. The only phase I see any potential problem would be the Space Phase, which is considerably longer. But even in that case, we can put the majority of the information onto one page and have just a few separate pages (such as Terraforming and Missions). What do you think about that?

Civilization III

Sorry about that. I was wondering how a game released that far back could have an exact date so I looked at some other sites to see what they gave as the release date but I think I only looked at the PS1 version because I've gone over them again and it appears that the PC, Mac and PS1 versions have different release dates.
