Vandalism[edit]

I appreciate your effort to talking Vandalism, but please leave it to the site admins. We're pretty thorough and we don't miss anything. Blanking the page doesn't accomplish much. Thanks. Procyon 21:48, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Second person[edit]

While first person is not welcome on the site, second person is acceptable. It tends to read better for the average visitor. While changing "you" to "the player" is technically correct, some people misunderstand what is meant by that, and using "you" removes the confusion. No need to change anything, just a note for the future. Procyon 00:51, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Good to know. SirMoogle (talk) 01:05, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Dragon Warrior 3[edit]

Hi SirMoogle. Your approach to solving the version/name problem in FFV has been very effective. Ive always thought that the Dragon Warrior III guide got turned into a giant mess for that reason. This is completely up to you, but would you be interested in taking a stab at that guide, and seeing if you can implement the same technique? I'd understand if you weren't interested, I thought I'd ask. Either way, thanks for your contributions. Procyon 01:42, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Procyon (talk · contribs) Thanks for the compliment. I can try and work on the Dragon Warrior III guide, though I would have to know if all the names have been translated for the versions and if platforms are virtually identical; I looked at some page previews and it seems like the SNES and GBC have the same content, though I did not check if names and such are the same. Knowing all this information would make it easier to decide on a subtemplate for {{Control selector}} across all the pages in the guide. —SirMoogle ( 💬📝) 23:50, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi SirMoogle, I did see your reply, but thanks for making sure I saw it. I patrol every edit on the site, so even if I didn't get a notification that you wrote to me (I did), I would have come across it eventually. Like I said, this is purely a favor I'm asking, and I don't want you to feel obligated to do it, it's a pretty massive undertaking. I wrote the original guide, and then people started to add the extra bits with the name changes, and the green text, etc., etc., and while I think the guide content is good, it's considerably more difficult to read. Your use of the control template was a pretty elegant solution to the problem. Procyon 18:19, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
