Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Spadow! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- IsaacGS 17:22, 2 August 2008 (CDT)

Image uploads[edit]

Please read our policy on image naming and categorization. Your latest uploads were named correctly, but didn't have any categories. I went ahead and added the categories for you, but please remember to put them on when you upload in the future, so we can keep the large amount of images organized. Thanks, - najzereT 07:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Signing talk pages[edit]

Hi, when you want to sign a talk page, just put four tildes (~~~~) or use the signature button (Wikisigbutton.png) above the edit text box. This will insert the time you left the message as well as helpful links to your userpage and/or talk page. - najzereT 19:02, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

MapleStory tables/version differences[edit]

Please do not make changes to the tables without submitting a url that links to proof of what may or may not be. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 06:25, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I read your email; but regardless of who knows you, you should still submit proof so that it cannot be disputed. People are very sensitive to pre-patch information, so a source is important if you don't want someone else refuting your claim. For changes made in regards to a current patch, don't worry about linking to patch notes because other maplers will know. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:30, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Image uploads[edit]

Please see our policy on image naming and categorization. In the future, your image names should contain the name of the game or its abbreviation and a one or two word description. All images also need to have the appropriate categories added, as well as the guide-specific image category (i.e. [[Category:MapleStory images]]). --najzereT 19:35, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

This is your third warning about properly categorizing your uploads. Check your latest two uploads' histories for examples of how the categories should look. Please don't make me tell you again, as the next warning comes with a two hour ban. Just add the categories in the Summary field when you upload. Thanks, — najzereT 04:42, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
You can see a list of your uploads at Special:Contributions/Spadow and Special:Watchlist if you have been checking the "Watch this page" checkbox. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:04, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, you've earned a two hour block. Please add categories to your images or just refrain from uploading any. Thanks, — najzereT 20:59, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Image question[edit]

What does MS Black Dragon Icon.png indicate? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:19, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

I see. Can you read Korean? Where does that intro take place? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 03:07, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Temple of Time info[edit]

I don't have a high enough character to verify the information myself, and I didn't add those numbers. If you'd like to remove them once more, then go ahead. I know that no one has really beaten Pink Bean anyways, so it's not like that number means anything if it is present or not. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:20, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Future Tokyo and TMS[edit]

Hello. I'm not blind but you sure are ignorant. Check Hong Kong MS logo and show me the difference, please. Vigilium 22:11, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

It's not the case. If we want to be creditable we need to have enough evidence. I've been seeing a lot of people changing anything they want in the table lately without any proof. Vigilium 07:52, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

JMS: Monster Carnival Season 2[edit]

Hello. I have reverted your edit in Template:MapleStory/Versions/Accompaniments about the Monster Carnival Season 2 in JMS. Reason: You have not provide a proper link to a website with an affirmation of this information. BTW: the dialog in official JMS site is not a confirmation. It does't say it is going to be the Monster Carnival Season 2. It can as well be something different / new. Vigilium 10:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

MS Test Server changes[edit]

There's no reason to remove the entire section of the content until we are 100% it has been canceled. Feel free to update the status of the test server. The reason the other PQ isn't on there is because no one added it, or it was removed and I can't see who did it. Before removing a section like that, wait a few weeks or months in case they roll it out in a patch. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:34, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and sign your posts. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:34, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Consolidate your edits[edit]

Hi, thank you for your contributions. Please use full page editing and the preview button to help reduce the amount of edits to the pages you're working on. You can edit the entire page by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page. Take your time to work out all of the changes you are going to make before submitting them. Making multiple minor edits makes it harder to use a page's history, and an administrator has to patrol every one of the changes you make. If you are editing a page more than three or four consecutive times within 10 minutes, you need to slow down. If you're worried about losing your work, copy the contents of the page into a text editor where you can even save it to your computer if you like. Thanks, — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 08:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Curious about your data[edit]

Where do you get the information for the tables? I.e. for the Aran skills. I thought this text was all in Korean (not the numbers, of course). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 08:09, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

You wouldn't get warned by Najzere for uploading the images if you simply paid attention to the rules. They're not difficult. It takes two extra second to properly categorize the images. Why can't you do that? Procyon 13:39, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I would upload the images if I had them. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:19, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Image categorisation[edit]

If you're talking about the MapleStory images category, that's in guide-specific images and that category is in Category:Images. All image categories are in a subcategory, and the subcategories are in Category:Images. Some of the image categories (like Category:Box artwork for example) aren't in subcategories and are just in Category:Images, but that's because they're special categories ;). --Melon247 Hammy, my hamster. Cute! (talk · contribs · comp) 08:45, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Maybe I can make it more visual...

Aran Mounts[edit]

Since you know their names, does this mean that they are the same pet (as in, does the wolf get stronger and change form?). How do you get the Level 100, 150, and 200 mounts? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 08:11, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Preload buttons[edit]

Here's what the buttons look like.

Hi, please use the preload buttons located above the edit text box when creating a new page. These buttons will insert the needed templates and formatting for you, which helps keep uniformity across the wiki. — najzereT 23:31, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Also, when copying a page from elsewhere, please put the attribution in your edit summary (e.g. "info from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MapleStory_DS&action=history"). Obviously this only applies to sources with compatible licenses to our own. Thanks, — najzereT 23:31, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

English grammar[edit]

StrategyWiki has chosen to use "sentence case" for everything. This means that something like:

  • Availability: not available in...

Is correct. Changing the "not available" to "Not available" is wrong, as it is not the start of a new sentence. Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 22:39, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

English is not my native language. Thanks for telling, I won't make the same mistake in the future~ ^^--Spadow 22:44, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Maple DS[edit]

Hi, you just changed the name on the MapleStory DS page to Maple DS. This means that I have to move the guide to Maple DS now... is that okay? I want to check first to make sure this is set in stone so we don't have to keep moving the guide around. Maple DS is the official name now? If not, maybe we can just make a note on the page that it has a new working title and redirect Maple DS to MapleStory DS. Let me know, thanks. — najzereT 22:12, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

More accurate results will come out if you search for 메이플DS. So yes, I believe this will be the official name for it. But to be 100% sure, we'll have to wait for the game to come out.
I like your idea about the working title. --Spadow 00:43, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I moved everything to Maple DS. It's not a problem if we have to move it again, I just wanted to be sure this was our best information to date. Thanks for keeping it updated! — najzereT 02:35, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Ignorance[edit]

Hello. There is a big difference between ignorance and looking for proofs or being reliable. If you don't see the difference, please, watch your mouth, couse you're acting infantile. If you are not able to provide any reliable source of the information don't put it in the template, please. It's all just rumours until any offical info is provided. All that GMST data proves is, that the content is or will be tasted in near future. It does not mean, that the content will be added in December and no one is going to believe in that. Of course I'm not saying it is not going to be implemented in December. I beg you mate, act like a pro. Regards Vigilium 17:03, 28 November 2010 (CST)

So what? All you have proved me is that you are a gossipmonger that relies on rumours only. Until you provide any reliable source of information (as reliable I mean offical) anyone can revert your editions in the table, and you can be sure that I will be first who do that. If Nexon would be never-failing, than we could trust extractions only. Well, Nexon America is not. Vigilium 18:27, 15 December 2010 (CST)
You seem like you've never played on global server before. What we have in data in global means nothing. It's not kms. We are getting a lot of data that is not used for a long time or never at all. Vigilium 04:54, 16 December 2010 (CST)

MapleStory[edit]

Didn't realize you were still around here, though I assume you're notified on changes. Just wanted to mention that I've like the site you set up, great way to see what the new stuff coming out is. :) --Prod (Talk) 02:54, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Yea, the blog :). I've started work on cleaning up the guide and getting the info usable again. I've also tagged all pages that need to be updated for big bang so we can slowly fix them up. Let me know if I can help you with anything. -- Prod (Talk) 21:34, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Fixed the images. Is the guild quest completely removed, or just disabled (potentially to come back)? -- Prod (Talk) 00:22, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Really, not even the old Maple Island towns? Well, to most users I don't think the distinction really matters. Perhaps we can just switch everything to "removed" (from the game at least). -- Prod (Talk) 01:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
