Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Xdivinex! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 21:08, 15 November 2007 (CST)

edit comments[edit]

can you try to make more descriptive edit comments? Lately they've all been like "lol" and that gives me the idea that it's vandalism. When i check it, I may see that's not the case, but it still doesn't look good.--IsaacGS 21:36, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Things such as "lol" aren't a useful edit summary. RobJ1981 06:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

News/Patch Info[edit]

When adding info regarding changes to games (especially MapleStory), please post the URL of the source where you got the information in the edit summary. Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:20, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Can you *Please* stop adding things that aren't confirmed? NOWHERE is there evidence to suggest that we are getting Leafre minidungeons. Stop marking things if you don't know for a fact it's true. I can say, without a doubt, that we are *not* getting those minidungeons, so this is a big mistake.--IsaacGS 17:51, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

If you're going to dispute something on the version pages, you must submit a URL to a reference, otherwise I must side with those that oppose you. Continuing to undo edits will result in a ban. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:12, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

MSN[edit]

No, because I don't use it. Or any instant messaging for that program. If you really need to talk, go into Southperry's IRC channel.--IsaacGS 20:00, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

About editing[edit]

Please don't edit the things i edit in the MapleStory section, such as CMST releasing New Leaf City.

Just because you don't know it, doesn't mean they didn't released it.

Image uploads[edit]

Hi, Image:Pink_Bean.png has been deleted, because it is a duplicate of Image:MS Pink Bean Icon.png. If you were meaning to update the image, you can upload your file with the same name as the existing image to replace it with your version. If you need your image to be separate for some reason (different size or something), then you can reupload it. If you do reupload it, make sure you name and categorize it correctly by following the directions on this page. A good idea would be to look at the existing Pink Bean Icon image for examples on how to name and categorize. Thanks, - najzereT 18:44, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

See this diff for an example of how to categorize your images. Thanks, - najzereT 19:09, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

This is your second warning to properly categorize your images. Read through the policy and make sure you properly categorize your future uploads. Once again, here is an example for you to look at. — najzereT 19:20, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello, this is another note to please start adding category tags in the Summary field of the file upload page when adding images to the wiki. For instance, when uploading monster images for the MapleStory guide, this is what you would add in the summary field:

That's two image categories (Characters and Sprites), and a guide-specific image category (MapleStory monster images). Because this is your third warning, if you continue uploading images without categories, you will be temporarily blocked from editing the wiki. To avoid that, please follow the instructions given on your talk page and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, — najzereT 19:37, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Testing[edit]

Lienne[edit]

What version of MS do you play? I can't find any proof that a town named "Lienne" exists. Can you help me out with a video, screenshot, or website? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:46, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. It looks like it's only available in KMS at the moment. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:09, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

New monster info[edit]

Could you add what version those monsters (like Sickly Green Mushroom) are from and where they appear? Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:19, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Conflicting information[edit]

Hi Xdivinex, I'm currently reviewing the changes you submitted to Template:MapleStory/Versions/Event Areas and Template:MapleStory/Versions/Masteria. You may not be aware, but the information on these two templates conflicts with one another. On the Masteria template, you suggest that Haunted House is not part of an event for both CMS and TMS. However, on the Event Areas template you suggest that Haunted House is part of CMS and TMS. So which is it? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 03:08, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Data-based information[edit]

Hey, you might not be aware but if something is in the data, it is not confirmed to be released soon. (Unless otherwise announced by Nexon.) I can give you an easy example, as well bMS and eMS had Leafre in the data since the beginning, and they still don't have it. Don't use data as a source, but only announcements by Nexon or interviews with Nexon etc.

Also, when editing, try to do everything in one edit, because if you do it in three it'll look more messy.

Ice Glen Alley[edit]

Where'd you find the name "Ice Glen Alley"? o: -- Imjon 21:46, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Ah, right. Didn't think about that. -- Imjon 22:58, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
EDIT: What do you think of calling it Ice Glen? Ice Glen Ally sounds like a singular map instead of the entire area. -- Imjon 23:02, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

New KMST content[edit]

Hello. You have added World Map Search and Expand Mini Map to the template. Wouldn't it be wiser to add something like Improved Map System? I don't think the two improvements would be added separately to other versions, so I don't see the point in separating it. Am I somewhat wrong? Regards. Vigilium 04:32, 26 October 2010 (CDT)

Both improvements are parts of the new map system. I don't think it is even possible to get one improvement without the other. The problem with the table is that it gets bigger and more complicated becouse of such moves like separating the improvements into two sections, while we don;t have to do that. Vigilium 04:54, 27 October 2010 (CDT)

About BigBang[edit]

Why are you so sure about Chaos will come out on Summer 2011 on GlobalMS? D0raemon 12:13, 28 December 2010 (CST)

Other users' userpages[edit]

Please don't edit or create other users' userpages to make a point about a discussion you're having with them. If you want to provide a link or argument, please use a discussion page to do so, which is considered much more civil on wikis. No harm if you didn't know, just a friendly note. Thanks! — najzereT 22:07, 28 December 2010 (CST)
