Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Zaiqukaj! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Procyon (Talk) 06:53, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

General guidelines about etiquette:
  1. Be Bold with your edits, anything can be undone
  2. If you make a change, and someone undoes it, if you redo the change, make sure you start some kind of discussion about the reasoning
  3. The /* */ in the Summary field is to name the section (not a comments field like in programming). If that isn't already there, don't add it, just put your comments there normally.
  4. Anytime you need help, leave a message on the StrategyWiki:Staff lounge and someone will try to help you out.
  5. If you see something about the site in general that you think would improve if it was changed, leave a message on the {{StrategyWiki talk:Community Portal]].
  6. Finally, add all the pages you edit to your watchlist ("Watch this page" check box, and the button at the top right of your screen). That way you can see what other people change about pages you've worked on, allowing you to see what you can improve about your own skills.

Deleting Staff Lounge[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj. Please do not delete anything from the Staff lounge page. Even though the matter may be resolved for you, personally (and I hope that you were able to find the guide and that it helps you), there is still an ongoing discussion among the staff regarding the matter, and we archive all discussions. The goal of this is to potentially help someone else who might come along with your exact same problem. Perhaps they will find your topic and learn how to solve their problem as a result of our discussion of yours. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have fun! Procyon (Talk) 07:09, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

Thank you so much for fixing my mistake. It was actually an accident. When I had finally figured out how to add my reply and saved it (by replying to my previous post and editing it to include my new reply)I saw something odd once it was saved. When I refreshed the Staff lounge again to see if it worked I saw something very diffirent. It looked like I had pasted the post into the post of another. The title Help with formatting had table of contents.
For some mysterious reason the content of the post was within the Image redirects post tacked onto the end. I honestly thought I had accidentally copyed and pasted the new version in the wrong area so I swooped in and took it out thinking the post I had uploaded was pushed onto a diffirent page or something. Once I had discovered the post was nowhere to be seen I was completely puzzled and unsure how to proceed.
I'm really relieved you were able to undo what had happened to this. As of now I still have no idea how to delete anything, only how to edit pre-existing things or make new ones. I am not too sure if post is the right word for the part of the page I am speaking of. What is the proper term for the sections that can be individually edited?Zaiqukaj 07:40, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
To undo things, click history, click the compare button and click the undo button next to the current revision, date and edit button, try it out on my second edit.--RockyRally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 10:34, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
They can be called whatever you want. They are officially called headings, but sections is the more commonly used term. A post is one individual's reply to something. Also, sysops are pretty good at undoing things (we have a rollback feature that reverts every edit by one user on a page), so don't worry about messing things up too badly. It might help if you use "Show Preview" (Note: Show Preview only shows the preview of the section you are editing-if you want it to show the entire page, you have to click on the edit tab on the top). Also, the sandbox is a good place to experiment (don't worry about messing up in the sandbox, that's what it is there for). As for actually deleting things, again only sysops have that ability (click here to see what I mean). --SkizzerzTalk - Contribs 11:20, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

Digimon World 2[edit]

Nice work with the Digimon World 2 guide so far. A few recommendations (don't have to follow all of them):

  1. Please add any pages you create for the guide to the Digimon World 2/Table of Contents (well, you have to follow this one)
  2. Rather than repeating the information about the items, just have a list of what items are available, with links to a /Items page (refer to this page for some linking hints.
  3. Rather than naming them Mission 1, Mission 2, etc. name them after whatever the level is actually called (ignore this if they're actually just numbered...)
  4. Finally, check out the {{Footer Nav}}s. They help tell the user where to go next.

If you have any questions, leave a message on my talk page. Happy editing! -- Prod (Talk) 19:31, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for the tips. It looks like the formatting is going to keep on changing untill I have more data up. I hope that will be ok. I'm changing all of the pages to WIP so everyone knows I am giving everything a makeover and will be constantly adding data a little bit at a time. Everything will begin to fall into place after some of the basic data pages are made. --Zaiqukaj 07:11, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
I couldn't help but see that you were wondering about how to make a new subpage for a particular game. The best thing to do is first, go to the Table of Contents of the game (found in the All Game Nav), and under the walkthrough, add a few dead links. Take, for example, Digimon World 2. If you want to make a new page for the walkthrough for a place called Marhsmallow land, what you do is type in:

Marshmallow Land into the ToC, then press 'Save Page'. What should appear is: Marshmallow Land When you're ready to edit, just click upon the red link, start typing whatever it is you want into it, press save, and voila! New page! A good example of how a ToC should look (as in, aesthetically pleasing, uses correct naming conventions, et al), is the Ocarina of Time ToC. If you want to see the wiki syntax used, just press 'edit' and see for yourself! Also check at Strategywiki: Guide, the stuff in there is really useful.

Hope this helps and happy editing!--Froglet 07:19, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

Hey, sorry about the late reply (I just woke up :P). I think you've already figured out the subpaging thing, but I'll go over it anywayz. To start off, visit the Table of Contents for the game you want to add subpages to (there should be a link on the main page). If it doesn't exist, there's a preload button at the top for ToC pages. Just copy the format they use to add links to make your won. Save the page and then click on your newly created red-link (or purple...). There is a gain a preload button for the guide pages which will add a Header and Footer Nav to the page. If the page is just a appendix or something, you can remove the footer nav (or keep it, up to you). Further info about how to arrange the guides can be found here. Happy Editing! :) -- Prod (Talk) 09:13, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Please add all subpages you create to the ToC for organization. Also, use the preload templates for guide pages so that it fills the {{Footer Nav}} properly. -- Prod (Talk) 19:23, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
I just this very moment noticed how to preload templates. I will be sure to use those now. I had no idea how to get those footers to work so this is a relief. What is ToC? Hopefully I'm getting closer to understanding how things work around here. --Zaiqukaj 03:51, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
ToC stands for Table of Contents, the page in a guide that links to all of the other pages. It is always found as the /Table of Contents sub-page (Digimon World 2/Table of Contents). Whenever you create a new page, add a link to it in the ToC. Of course, when adding sequential walktrough pages, make sure they are in order in the ToC :) --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 08:55, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

creating Subpages[edit]

The easiest way to do this is one of two ways:

  1. . You can create a link in an existing page that leads to the one you want to create. It should look something like this: MapleStory/Towns. The game's name, followed by the subpage's name. It will appear in red (just like on Wikipedia), and if you click on it it'll take you to a page where you can create it. You can check out an example of the red link method here: Sonic CD/Table of Contents
  2. . Type it directly into your address bar. This is also pretty easy, just go to the main page of the article, like MapleStory. at the end of the URL, do a / and type the subpage on the end. the link will be like this:

then, add on to the end the name of the subpage (in this case, /Towns):

Hope that helps --IsaacGS 13:31, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

Hello and Thanks[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Strategy Wiki, Zaiqukaj! I'll go ahead and look over what you did. Thanks for telling me about it, as I would love some help with the project. And as for etiquette (is that how you spell it?:)), the only thing you really need to know is that you should use a NPOV; that is, don't say "I" or "me" in a guide. This is because the guides can be editted by everyone, and should feel neutral so anyone can jump right in. Thank you once again, and I look forward to working on the guide with you! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon contribs[edit]

Hello again, Zaiqukaj! I looked over your contributions to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Items, and they were great! The only minor thing I can recommend is maybe putting numbers for the Tms as well. That aside, you're doing a great job! Thanks again, Myth 12:45, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

hmmm I would of included the numbers since I always find details like that useful. I just checked and TMs in dungeon don't have numbers. They are in alphabetical order.
Since I have been wanting to get a copy of the red version of this game too I may be able to begin taking notes for adding to the walkthrough section. This game is a pretty entertaining time waster for the bus. It plays a lot like Chocobo Dungeon --Zaiqukaj 04:52, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Some walkthrough sections would be great, as the guides are lacking (another understament of the year). Also, I realize that the TMs are not in order, so it's not really necessary to number them. Thanks for the help! Myth 12:20, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
By the way, you can reply to me on my talk page. Thanks ^_^ Myth 12:21, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Hello again. I wanted to drop you a note saying you've done a great job on the item list here! I also wanted to note that Pokémon is spelled "Pokémon", not "pokemon". Also, in case you didn't know, the "é" can be found in the box below the editing section. Thanks again ^_^ Myth 16:39, 25 June 2007 (CDT)
Heh, oh right the ė! I'm pretty prone to misspellings so I'm not surprised. This will be randomly fixed tonight. I also think there are a few TMs that have similar effects that are worded completely diffirently. Oh well, my first priority is still getting the base information up and then making everything match and look pretty. --Zaiqukaj 02:16, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
I was thinking, because the item list looks cluttered, should we divide it into specific categories, such as Seeds, Orbs, Tms, Gummis, Misc., and exclude things like Hp recovery items, or status recovery items. Just wondering what you thought ^_^ Myth 12:12, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Just so you know, I will be able to work a ton on the item list as I have an action replay which gives me 999 of every item in the game ^_^ Just thought I'd let you know.. Also, you'd help a lot if you would do some walkthrough sections for the game, as there's virtually nothing on it right now. Thanks again! Myth 17:32, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

That sounds great. Could you also use that to find selling prices for all of the items? That is a random fact that players could find useful(hmmm, is that mission really worth it?). I'm planning on going through some dungeons a couple of times and recording the variables I encounter(pokemon, weather, items). I theorise that every level of each dungeon has a specific set of pokemon available for reqruiting. Hopefully me recording some basic data and what can be expected for each dungeon will be ok for starters. Its important to understand each dungeon for random missions.
Next month I will be getting a copy of the advance version so I will really focus on a proper walkthrough while I play through again. I'm too fond of my current save file to re-start. Since my current computer is a mac I can't really use emulators if I wanted to so notes on the first time through the dungeon will have to wait. --Zaiqukaj 03:39, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
Hey Zaiqukaj. Been awhile, hasn't it? I've been gone for several months (as you've probably noticed) and haven't done much on, well, really anything for a few months. Sorry I didn't follow through with the completion of the items list. It is a ton of work as there are, ummm, let me see... I think 25 pages of items to jot down descriptions, effects, prices, so on. More completion to the walkthrough would be great by the way, glad you can help on that. Hopefully I will work more on the item list,, and I might even do some today. Thanks again for the contributions you've made in my absence. Sorry again for the lack of my participation in the matter and

and I hope to be able to help you more in the weeks to come. P.S.: If you need screenshots for parts of the walkthroughs, I'll Google it and try to find some. Thanks again :). --Myth (talk) 17:03, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Hello again, Zaiqukaj. Sorry if you think I'm flooding your talk page, but I thought this was necessary to say. About the walkthrough section you created. They are a bit disorganized as of now, and they could use a bit more content. I'd be happy to help, but I would also appreciate it if you would look over the Thunderwave Cave section of the guide and take some pointers from there. Mainly, headings for introduction to the dungeon (as in goal, point in the storyline, etc.), bosses (including attacks, type, etc.), and headings for items and enemies too. Anything after that is purely what you feel is needed. I'd like to hear what you have to say about this, before I edit what you've done. I'm really not trying to criticize you, just trying to be helpful. Also, if you have questions, feel free to ask me or, probably, those in the Staff Lounge for help. Happy editing! --Myth (talk)

No problem[edit]

That's no problem at all; I'm glad to be of service. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask, and keep up the good work! :-) --DrBob (Talk) 09:37, 3 July 2007 (CDT)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon/Items contributions[edit]

True to my word, I have started adding more content to the items section. Also, I took your suggestion and have added Selling Price sections to each category and have currently filled in prices on the Hold items section and the scarfs section (by the way, in case you were wondering, I made a Scarfs section because otherwise the Hold Items section would be way too crowded). It is tedious work, but the sooner I have it done, the better. Also, I hadn't noticed just how much content has been added to the guide. Keep up the good work! --Myth (talk) 17:56, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, sure I'll go over the stuff you wrote! :) Also, the shops and their descriptions should go in the Appendices. Keep it up!
I looked over your stuff and did some cleanup. Good job with it!

Hi. Could you please stop adding {{subpage}} to every page you edit? Almost all of those pages don't need subpaging, and that template is only to be used to mark pages as needing breaking into other, smaller pages. Thanks. --DrBob Needcat icon.png0005.svg 11:05, 12 October 2007 (CDT)

That's alright; we theorised that you might've mistakenly thought the template was to indicate that a page was a subpage, rather than was needing subpaging. :-) I think I've caught most of them, but feel free to go back through the pages you've edited to make sure.
On a related note, I must thank you for the bits of cleanup you're doing; apart from this mistake, everything else is good, and helpful to us! --DrBob Needcat icon.png0005.svg 12:28, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
Sweet, we can always use the help :). If you are interested you can join the StrategyWiki:Cleanup project. We have a very rigorous initiation to join the team... It involves adding Category:Cleanup project members to your userpage and just watching StrategyWiki:Cleanup project (though we don't seem to do much there...). Happy editing :) -- Prod (Talk) 12:50, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
I guess this is a bit late, but when subpaging, can you put a link to where the information came from? Just put a "subpaged from Page name" in the edit summary. -- Prod (Talk) 09:24, 17 November 2007 (CST)
Thanks for the list :D. I'll look into those over the next few weeks. I essentially started around here doing the same stuff you're doing so let me know if you need any help with anything :). -- Prod (Talk) 20:09, 18 November 2007 (CST)

I'll butt-in and answer your questions: I don't see any need to add a source for the information in infoboxes, since we're not heavily into referencing, but you can if you want to (just put it in the edit summary). I would definitely not bother if it's been hoiked straight from Wikipedia. As far as {{col}} and {{h2}} are concerned, I believe we decided we were going to have a "lazy" conversion, so we're only changing ToCs over when we edit them for other reasons (to correct a link, or subpage stuff, or whatever). I can't see much need to explicitly go through each game and change its ToC, as use of the templates doesn't/shouldn't actually change the markup produced. :-) --DrBob (talk) 11:04, 19 November 2007 (CST)

Don't welcome IPs[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj. I wanted to ask you to stop welcoming anonymous IP addresses. We've had a policy of asking them to register instead (I believe there is a register template that Skizzerz leaves). The problem is there is no guarantee that a user is going to return with the same IP, so the welcome message (and the request to register) is likely lost, and if they happen to see the message you left for them, we want to encourage them to register with a real account. Keep up the great work. Procyon (Talk) 10:18, 28 December 2007 (CST)

The changes you made to the morrowind pages are great, since I haven't played the game in a while I haven't had a reason to update the guide and so I was able to make some updates because you alerted me (via my watchlist). Remember to get on IRC when you're on, even if no one is on! We are all in different timezones so you'll catch us between jobs, school, and social and sleep patterns. Possible unended discussion topic[edit]

Please see StrategyWiki:Staff_lounge#infoboxes for an old post you made that I didn't archive because it wasn't solved (I recently replied). If you don't care anymore then I'll go ahead and archive it, otherwise please reply on that board. Tusen takk, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:58, 16 January 2008 (CST)

Archiving the Community Issues/Staff Lounge is exactly like subpaging, I'm not sure what the policy should be about archiving talk pages - my archiving "technique" (delete, reference the history as the archive) for my personal talk page came from someone else (maybe Prod... I dunno). So wait, you've been creating infoboxes for main pages without having a clue what you're doing? Or what? Template usage? Do you ever check {{Infobox}} for parameter info? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 04:19, 17 January 2008 (CST)
Yeah there aren't many of us that know all the parameters of every template by heart - no worries! --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:16, 17 January 2008 (CST)

Spelling fixes[edit]

I've caught you changing English spellings into American ones. Consider this a slap on the wrist. :-P --DrBob (talk) 11:00, 21 January 2008 (CST)

Don't worry, you're not the first. I got slapped for it too!--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 08:53, 24 January 2008 (CST)
Just go to somewhere like and type the word you want to check in. Correct British words will be in there, marked with something like "chiefly British". In this manner, you could get your spelling checker to ignore such words on a case-by-case basis, but I don't know of a canonical list of differences. :-) Mainly, it's things like American words with "z"s in them going to "s"s in English (for example, "fraternize" -> "fraternise"). --DrBob (talk) 10:56, 24 January 2008 (CST)

Spelling Errors/Voice[edit]

Hey Zai, since you're probably the main contributor for the Misspellings project, could I get your permission to correct any of your misspellings on talk pages (for instance "easier")? It will help reduce the amount of pages listed on each search result... you know how intimidating those can be! If not, I don't mind (it's already site policy not to change entries). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:30, 28 January 2008 (CST)

You might want to try out Firefox, because it has auto spell check on it (very useful for this sort of thing). I'm also removing the misspelling I put in quotes above - no need to have it there. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:09, 31 January 2008 (CST)

Hey Zaiqukaj...[edit]

Just thought you may have wanted to see this. Peace Out, God Bless. Halosonic 10:26, 3 February 2008 (CST)

There's no policy so far, so just use your best judgment. I'd say at least a day, maybe a week depending on the vandalism. If it's page blanking then I'd go for minimum two weeks up to permanently. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:30, 4 February 2008 (CST)

Yeah, anonymous rarely even gets a warning. It only really gets bad when a group of people attack. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:50, 4 February 2008 (CST)

Contributor lists[edit]

Adding it on the talk pages isn't really encouraged, but if there are too many contributors it's really the only way. Main reason being that the history page is a bit more "attached" to the article than the talk page. Some tips for getting all the users into the edit summaries:

  • If they're already in the summary of the destination page, no need to mention them again.
  • Don't add links to the deleted pages, they serve no purpose.
  • If necessary, merge the pages in over multiple edits, mentioning a few of the users at a time.

I saw that you found additional pages or something, but if you need to find a full directory of all the pages under a guide, use Special:Watchsubpages. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 08:52, 26 April 2008 (CDT)
Special:Prefixindex is much better, unless you want to watch them as well (considering I stole most of the code from it for watchsubpages). For the places list, the ideal would be to merge them into a few sections relating to the general areas (somewhat like MapleStory/Towns). Otherwise, yes they will need to be added to the toc just like the quests lists, though, those could possibly be merged as well if the area layout is known (MapleStory guide again). -- Prod (Talk) 12:56, 26 April 2008 (CDT)
Yeah I understand now. The problem with splitting "places" is that it would work better to split them into categories - towns, dungeons, etc. In this case, it's best to refer to and check out the "World Map" link on the left nav. Luckily you don't have to really know the game to understand what some of the stuff is, like things with "Village" in the name is a small village... and the text for towns is also larger - see Falador and Varrock. Also, remember that the free version has boundaries, and contains like less than 50% of the world. Watch subpages is so useful - if you use it every month or so on a guide you can find out if people have added pages you didn't know about, or hidden pages that aren't shown on the ToC. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:15, 26 April 2008 (CDT)

Hey Zai, first of all, I'd like to comment on your work on RuneScape - 2 thumbs up! I'm glad someone got around to it, so thanks a ton (even if it isn't done, it looks a lot better so far)!

So on to the issue at hand - I was wondering if you could spare 5 minutes and convert a table or two once in a while for me. If so, I really appreciate it, if not, well... I understand xD. Anyways if you are interested, here's the jist of it: I'm slowly merging the content of Mythos/Crafting materials into Mythos/Crafting material drops (which will then be moved back to /Crafting materials since it has a better name). Basically, the drops page was our test at creating a different layout, and it looks a lot better with the changes. However, we don't want to pages so I'm merging all the content together. If you look at the drops page you'll notice the first two sections, Anima and Aether, as having a different table layout then the rest of the page (most recently updated). These two tables have many more columns which support all the necessary entries for the crafting materials.

Last thing, you don't need to help merge the data, but just help me wikify and expand the current tables so we can fill in the rest. This project is tough, and maybe I can figure out a regex tomorrow night to help me automate it, but yeah it's kind of a big issue because this crafting materials stuff is the most popular part of the Mythos guide at the moment. Thanks in advance, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 06:11, 24 April 2008 (CDT)

Hmm, ok so I didn't expect you to edit the full table, since I had the feeling that the separate groupings are better organizationally and visually (the ones on material drops). I appreciate your edit though, however it may have been in vain if we merge the two. Anyways the tables I was talking about was on the crafting material drops - like you said. The first two are complete, and the others aren't (but should be). Like you did to the full table, the smaller ones need to be expanded in the same way. Thanks! I'll probably edit another table before you get on tonight (around 9PM). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:22, 24 April 2008 (CDT)
Thank you! I can take it from here xD --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:03, 25 April 2008 (CDT)

With your editing addiction, have you picked up the game itself? Or did you already play? Or no games for Zai? XD --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:00, 2 May 2008 (CDT)

Yeah I'm addicted to WoW right now, not much editing (I think I edit more at WoWWiki than here atm o_O) because of that. I used to play RS when it was popular with the nerds where I live (back in middle school). I love being able to still log on though, funny as hell walking around with a level 40 and a santa hat (worth so damn much, I could create a slave trade in that game!) ahahaha. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:08, 2 May 2008 (CDT)

Kirby Air Ride[edit]

Thanks for adding some more! Filling out tips for all 360 check list items is gonna be a bitch... especially because I already have like 150 done... Btw, looks like you're about ready for your first talk page archive (at least by 30 entries you should do that). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:14, 28 June 2008 (CDT)

If you take a look at top ride I've come up with a basic format - list it by number (read in the grid from left to right, starting at the top left corner), provide the description (so people can double check it in the grid or just interpret the challenge themselves), and then provide a way to get it. I was also thinking of a screenshot of the grid so we could point out a few things (for example on my top ride I've never used any of the "free" blocks, and yet I have completed all but just 4 or 5; if I were to screenshot it we could show what a free block looks like and where it appears, etc.). I can't think of anything else to discuss; anything come to mind? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:48, 28 June 2008 (CDT)

Dog's Life Spell Check[edit]

I could use you're help correcting the spelling in the guide pages for Dog's Life. I think I'm one of the people who makes the most mistakes on strategywiki, and I can check for errors with Microsoft word, but wrong words don't come up in there. ; ] -- Melon 247, the Dog's Life Expert 03:57, 14 August 2008 (CDT)

Deleting vandalism pages[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj, nice work with all the wikification you've done; I wish I had the time to help :). When deleting a page which is just vandalism, try to clear out the delete summary of any vandalism so that we can keep things clean. Keep up the good work. -- Prod (Talk) 16:09, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Petz Collab.[edit]

I saw you were working on a few of the Petz main pages, so I thought I'd invite you too! If you're interested in helping out, just head over to Category_talk:Petz and chime on in.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:47, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Could you have a look at the guide for Petz: Dogz 2 and Catz 2? I need some other users to do copyediting so I thought of you! --Melon247 10:34, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Hey, I just put Petz up for Collab of the month. I hope you'll be in support! :) --Melon247 09:15, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey, this category already exists, so Alphadream and AlphaDream should probably be merged, but I'm not sure which is the official name. - najzere 22:41, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Fighting moves[edit]

Hi Zai :) The best advice that I can give to you would be to check out one of the character pages and see how we use the fighting moves templates. Check out, for example, Super_Street_Fighter_II_Turbo/Ken and edit it to see much easier it is to use the templates then to try and recreate the tables by hand. I realize that these don't have places for descriptions, and there's a much more complicated template that does, (see Street_Fighter_IV/Ken), but you could offload the descriptions to the character text above. Let me know if you have any more questions. Procyon 14:38, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

June-July competition[edit]

I'm sad that you couldn't get the Curse of Monkey island up and running. I love that game, even though I never finished it, and was looking forward to helping you. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

When we're dealing with 2+ guides within one (modes, expansions, versions, etc.) I think it's best to begin with simple exclusions, such as hiding the data within {{spoilers}} or sidebars. Until we can visualize how much data differs from the regular guide, large scale implementation should not be done (i.e. ToC mergers, or using control selector for content instead of controls, etc.). Start with the basic guide and we'll go from there. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:11, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

TDI Wiki[edit]

I don't know whether you're a wikia user or not but I just thought that since you've got The Dog Island I might as well tell you that I have created a The Dog Island Wiki. BTW, does it matter that I'm not talking about SW here (as in, on this site ;))? --Melon247 Hammy, my hamster. Cute! (talk · contribs · comp) 18:04, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

No. Most of us are Wikia users as well, and we often use their gaming wikis for some of our content. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:47, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

wip Template[edit]

It appears that a lot of the {{wip}} instances my bot are removing were on pages you worked on. Please see Special:Contributions/Auto Prod Bot for today's updates. Perhaps some of those should have been cleanup/wikify templates instead. -- Prod (Talk) 21:10, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Sakura Wars reply.[edit]

Thanks. I thought editors were an island to themselves. I can blame myself for not editing a lot lately but it took me a while to find a dream project that would work for me. For the record, I've seen only the first four episodes in the OVA series on season one and later a movie with better English voice actors I should say. Though I should be respectful to the anime franchise, I'm willing to work on it from start to an unending finish. If it's successful by March, maybe I will put it up on Collaberation but at this time, perhaps your help might be worth it and my editing work wouldn't go to waste. My only condition is this guide shouldn't feel to ordinary but I'll perhaps let it slide for now. Today's my birthday by the way since 1986. So finish what you can and hopefully it would work out.

I hope it would be fun working together. Johnnyauau2000 03:19, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the message. Take it easy when editing and try to be true to the Sakura Wars franchise. Most of all, I hope my birthday dream on working this guide wouldn't become a disappointment. Johnnyauau2000 07:04, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to message you again but I made additional pages. If there's anything important, put it on the walkthrough, if it's for the person like Gemini Sunrise or Ratchet Altair, put it there so the walkthrough itself won't get overwhelmed since I also put a link there. I also got the Gamefaq walkthrough "Sakura Taisen V" but it's not exactly helpful since it's totally vague on responses and choices and aftermaths. Anyway, keep up the good work.Johnnyauau2000 04:49, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Uh, you left me a message about the minigames and the dialogue. Any progress? If you change your mind or something, let me know and I'll try to figure out a way to translate the vague dialogue choices I found in gamefaqs to help me complete the guide since that's the only thing missing. Anyway, I hope I'm not intruding. Thanks. Johnnyauau2000 15:47, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

This might sound embarressing but my weakness is uploading pictures. I can be very forgetful sometimes! Anyway where do I upload the images and can they really cut out any watermarks? I want to try it once more before I give up on that idea. I'm still thinking about it whether it's a good idea or a bad idea. Take your time and message me soon. I'll be looking forward since when I first got in, I thought the message in orange and blue is scary at first but I will get used to it. Johnnyauau2000 14:58, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Tactics[edit]

My (user)name is drkelflord and i would like your help
with something.

You see, after touring this site and subsequently joining, I
realized that the Final Fantasy Tactics page has a great deal of pages
that are simply gone or missing(or never there)and i would like to rectify
that. If you or anyone else could help me with this i would be greatly apreciative

thank you for your time
sincerly--Drkelflord 19:43, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Images reply.[edit]

Thanks. I was scared that it might be a bad idea at first but it took me a lot of guts to see if I can do it. I hate to be a clown but the reason I wanted just face images as well because of the inspiration from "Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess" guide by Prima's Guide in which you use heads for specific reasons like Ganondorf's head used as a warning in trying the attempt or Link and Midna's head as general facts. I hope I'm not stealing for the worst. Johnnyauau2000 15:07, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Game engines[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj! First, thanks so much for your kind words, and thanks even more for all of your hard work around the site, it's very much appreciated as well. As for game engines, you're right, we haven't really spelled out a good template for that kind of contribution. This may be an opportunity to pioneer a new design, which is rare these days. I tend to look to Wikipedia for concept ideas, and then tailor their design to better fit our site. I definitely think game engines are a good category for the site, so that people who like a game made with one particular engine can learn about other games made with the same engine. Procyon 22:37, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

We don't have a template like {{series}} or {{company}}, but you can see "pre-existing examples of some finished engine pages" in Category:Engines, like Unreal Engine, SCI or PhyreEngine. So far we just copy/paste the basic info out of the Wikipedia article. — Najzere · Talk 22:42, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
That sounds great Z. And thanks Naj for pointing out the engines category, I forgot that was there. Procyon 22:54, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Personally, I don't think game engines contribute that much to the quality of the game. With companies, you can see their track record of the games they've developed. But with engines, it's really just whoever has the money to license the engine, and kinda tells what generation of graphics you're in. I'd say we keep them as very basic pages without infoboxes, since there's really not much to say about them beyond release date, creating company, and what games are available for the system. -- Prod (talk) 02:40, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Top ten lists[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. Prod noticed something very similar only a few days ago and thought he had fixed the problem, but it looks like there may still be something lingering in the system. I'll have him take another look at it. I appreciate the observation. Procyon 10:13, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

Apparently they changed something where the tag version doesn't work properly with our top lists. I've switched it to using the parser function version. -- Prod (talk) 19:39, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

And again, it's good to see you back! Glad you found your laptop cord :) Procyon 15:06, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Just curious[edit]

What kind of business did you start? That's pretty exciting! Procyon 01:39, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

Gosh, I've been gone so long I can not remember if replies stay where they started or go on the other person's talk page. What an awkward feeling. I make monster illustrations and plushes at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. The plushes are made from found second hand cloth so it is a big upcycling project. It's fun and crafty but I'm still figuring things out. On an unrelated note there was over 1000 wanted categories and that is horrifying. I'll be spamming the recent changes for a while. --Zaiqukaj (talk) 02:07, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

What you did[edit]

<content removed> sigh... I'll handle this Zaiqukaj. Keep up the great work. Procyon 05:34, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

Category cleanup[edit]

Hi Zaiqukaj, thanks for bringing that up. I checked that Category page, and I'm pretty sure it was made by mistake. I went ahead and deleted it. That's really cool about the monsters, do you have any images online of your work? I've often thought about making a line of retro video game character plushes. Like, a lot :) Procyon 02:04, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Guide-specific preload[edit]

Fixed! That was a recent change, guess i wasn't paying proper attention. -- Prod (talk) 04:52, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

I broke it only a few days ago, so it was easy to find :P. I've been updating some of my old bot scripts, so lots of inconsistencies popping out of those. I'm eventually going to add a feature for it to put the list on the wiki so others can join the fun :). -- Prod (talk) 05:17, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Also, thanks for cleaning up those pages, not sure I would have been able to find them in my mess of edits. -- Prod (talk) 05:21, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Series templates[edit]

Can I get your input on StrategyWiki:Staff lounge#Series template cleanup? -- Prod (talk) 23:42, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Since I never clear out anything in this section it might be best to put this here: I'm so sorry everyone. Around the same time I had become fairly sick and the wireless we use stopped working on my computer. I just got a laptop just so I can come back and get to work. I missed and love all of you. --Zaiqukaj (talk) 05:57, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
