Commodore Amiga[edit | edit source]
Once all eleven cars have reappeared on the screen, the other ten Wacky Racers will drive away, off the right side of it, leaving Dick Dastardly in a cloud of smoke to catch them up; you'll then have to accelerate and spike Penelope Pitstop and The Anthill Mob (whose car is coloured green instead of black) to kill them. You will then have to jump over a pit and spike a bat to kill him - and once you have done so you will have to jump over another pit and spike another bat to kill him. You'll then have to jump over two more pits and spike a third bat to kill him; once you have done so you will have to jump up thrice more and spike a beaver to kill him. You will then have to jump over a fifth pit, drop down, and spike another beaver, and two more bats to kill them - and once you do this, you must jump over a sixth pit, and spike a third beaver to kill him. You must then jump over a seventh pit, jump up (while watching out for a satellite dish which is firing laser beams), jump up thrice more and spike a fourth beaver to kill him; once you've done so, you'll have to jump up and spike a fifth beaver, to kill him. You will then have to jump up twice more, and spike Rufus Roughcut and Sawtooth to kill them - and once you have done so, you will have to jump over another satellite dish that is firing laser beams and two more pits, and spike a sixth beaver to kill him. You will now have to jump up five more times, and spike a seventh beaver to kill him; once you have done this, you will have to jump over three more pits and spike an eighth beaver, The Red Max, and a ninth beaver to kill them. You'll now have to jump up twice more and spike The Gruesome Twosome to kill them - and once you've done this, you will have to jump over two more pits, and spike two more bats to kill them. You will then have to drop down and spike three bombs (dropped by three passing birds) to destroy them; once you've done so, you will have to collect a blue sphere (if Dastardly's car was unfortunate enough to get hit, it'll restore a bit of its energy). You'll then have to jump over three more satellite dishes (that are firing laser beams), and collect a heart (unlike in the 8-bit versions it will give Dastardly an extra life) - and once you've done so, you will have to spike two more bombs (dropped by two more passing birds) and Peter Perfect to kill them. You shall now have to jump up twice more, drop down, jump up and spike a tenth beaver to kill him; once you have done so you will have to jump over two more pits and spike a sixth bomb (dropped by a sixth passing bird) and three more beavers to kill them. You will then have to jump up four more times, drop down and collect another blue sphere - and once you've done so you shall have to jump over an eighteenth pit, a sixth satellite dish (that's firing laser beams) and two more pits and spike a fourteenth beaver to kill him. You will then have to jump over a twenty-first pit and spike a fifteenth beaver to kill him; once you've done so, you shall have to jump over a twenty-second pit and cross the finish line, and once you have done so, the text WELL DONE! YOU HAVE FINISHED. will appear on the screen. Dastardly and Muttley will then proceed to the fourth stage.
ZX, CPC and Commodore 64[edit | edit source]
Once all four cars have reappeared on the screen, the other three Wacky Racers shall drive away off the right side of it leaving Dick Dastardly in a cloud of smoke to catch them up; you'll then have to accelerate, jump over a pit, and spike two flies to kill them. You'll then have to jump over another pit, jump up twice, drop down, jump up twice, jump over a third pit and spike a worm (who's poking his head out of the ground), Peter Perfect, another worm (who is poking his head out of the ground), two more flies, and two more worms (who are poking their heads out of the ground), to kill them - and once you do so you will have to pass a Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning and spike a fifth worm (who is poking his head out of the ground), the Slag Brothers and a sixth worm (who is poking his head out of the ground) to kill them. You shall then have to jump over three more pits and spike a fifth fly to kill him; once you've done so you'll have to jump over four more pits, pass another Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning and spike Rufus Roughcut and Sawtooth to kill them. You will then have to spike a seventh worm (who is poking his head out of the ground) to kill him - and once you have done so, you will have to jump over an eleventh pit and spike two more flies to kill them. You will then have to pass a third Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning, jump over twelve more pits, and spike an eighth worm (who is poking his head out of the ground) and an eighth fly, to kill them; once you've done so, you will have to jump over three more pits, jump up, drop down, jump up four more times, jump over two more pits, pass a fourth Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning, jump over six more pits, and spike two more worms (who're poking their heads out of the ground) and a ninth fly to kill them. You shall now have to pass a fifth Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning, jump over three more pits and spike an eleventh worm (who is poking his head out of the ground), a tenth fly and two more worms who are poking their heads out of the ground to kill them - and once you do so, you will have to pass a sixth Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign to start it spinning and spike an eleventh fly to kill him. You will now have to jump over two more pits, and spike a fourteenth worm who is poking his head out of the ground to kill him; once you've done so, you shall have to jump over eight more pits and spike three more flies to kill them. You shall then have to pass a seventh Sonic the Hedgehog-style "CHECK" sign (which indicates the end of the race) to start it spinning - and Muttley will then proceed to the fourth stage. It's also worth noting that in some versions, Peter Perfect's substituted with Sgt. Blast and Pte. Meekly on this stage, but the difference is merely graphical.
