The goal of each stage is to travel in one direction from the starting point to the end point. In most cases, you travel from the left to the right, but in a few cases, you may travel from bottom to top, or even from right to left. You may travel back as far as you like up to the start of the stage, although there's rarely a benefit to backtracking. Stage may or may not end with the appearance of a stage boss who challenges you to a game of Shiritori or Concentration.

Stages are not identified in any way, so your path through the game is indicated by the world map.

Stage A[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage A.png

You start off on a dock, and must proceed to the right. You'll have to jump up and over the higher ledges to proceed. Two easily avoided snails appear just before the first two Wagyanizers. After the second Wagyonizer, the path will drop before a bird appears over the next ledge. Shout at the bird to stun it, and shout again to stun the two pigs on the ground. Jump over the small one-eyed enemy, and watch out for the mole who pops his head up out of the dirt. Beyond the mole is a springboard. You must run across it and time your jump when you're at the very edge of it in order to propel yourself into the air, and collect a third Wagyanizer. After a short distance with no enemies, you'll find the fourth Wagyanizer which will render you temporarily invincible. From here, you can run all the way to the right, crashing into all of the enemies without fear. When you reach the end of the stage, you'll actually have to choose between an upper path and a lower path. The upper path leads to Stage B, and takes a shorter path to stage H. The lower path also leads to stage I, or it can lead to stage J. A secret warp can advance you even further if you know where to look.

Stage B[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage B.png

After dropping down some steps, jump over the pit with a snail. Reach the body of water, and jump to the islands to cross. A frog will leap to the second island, so time your jump so you fly over it when it's in the air. Then use the cloud to float up to the first Wagyanizer. When you reach the land on the other side of the water, drop into the pit and yell at the right wall 10 times to make the first bonus warp appear. Step inside to be transported to an area where you are invincible and can crash into all the enemies for bonus points. When it wears out, you will return to the stage. Collect the second Wagyanizer from the pit beyond, and then drop down the side of the land to the ground below. Turn around and shoot the left wall for another secret; a 1-up. You've reach the mid-way point through the stage and will return here if you die. Continue right, leaping up at the end up a row of trunks to collect the thirs Wagyanizer, and hop over the taller trunks. Watch out for the owl who hovers near a fourth Wagyanizer. Pick it up when it's safe, and blast through the rest of the stage while you are invincible. You should make it close the end of the stage, if not all the way there. If you're not invincible towards the end, watch out for small one-eyed creatures that drop from the trees. When you reach the end, a large mushroom will float over and challenge you to your first game of Shiritori. Selected tiles are not replaced, you get a maximum of 50 seconds to find a move, and you must either get seven successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance to stage D.

Stage C[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage C.png

Jump over the pit with the snail and leap up to collect the first Wagyanizer. Beyond the purple mushroom, you must leap from one rising platform to the next to cross the body of water. You should be able to leap non-stop to get across. Watch out for the mushroom waiting for you on the other side. Yell at the next snail to freeze and leap off of its back to collect the second Wagyanizer. Wait for three frogs to jump down into the nearby pit before advancing up the steps. Avoid the mushrooms in the next pits and jump up to the ledge above for the third Wagyanizer. Continue to the right, yelling at enemies on the ground to freeze them, or jumping over them. Around this time, wait for three small one-eyed enemies to drop from the sky before advancing. Continue up and over the next ledge, and you will eventually see two Wagyanizers very close to one another. At this point, you will probably only need to collect one to turn invincible and blast through the enemies to reach the end of the stage. When you reach the end, a large stone creature will float over and challenge you to your first game of Shiritori. Selected tiles are not replaced, you get a maximum of 50 seconds to find a move, and you must either get seven successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance Stage E.

Stage D[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage D.png

The first Wagyanizer is beyond a bouncing ball that drops into the pit between two walls. The second Wagyanizer is at the bottom of a pit below a hopping spring. Yell at the spring when it's at the height of its bounce before dropping down to collect the Wagyanizer, and leaping back out on the right side. Drop down or leap over the bouncing ball on the other side. Hop over the cane in front of the next wall, and watch out for more bouncing balls and springs beyond. The next time you see a cane, there will be a pair of them. Yell at them both to freeze them and advance. Yell at the first spring when it's on the ground to create a platform for you to jump up to the top of the wall. Freeze the spring and ball beyond the wall, then hop up the steps. From the top of the wall, try to yell so that you freeze all three springs, and then get across to find a third Wagyanizer. Watch out for two balls bouncing your way, and try to freeze the second one when it's up in the air. Use it to jump up to the top of a wall where you'll find the fourth Wagyanizer. Use the invincibility to propel you as far to the right as you can go, crashing into any enemy that you encounter for more points. Towards the end of the stage, you'll encounter a group of canes. When you see a cane on top of a short wall, a large black orb will fly across the sky, so be sure not to jump too high when it does. Beyond this, a construction worker with a jack hammer will bounce towards you and challenge you to a game of concentration. You have 30 seconds to choose two tiles, and you have to match at least 6 tiles to advance to Stage I. One thing worth noting about this game is that the board is in a pattern. Every match can be found in the horizontal and vertical mirror of itself. For example if one card is two from the left and one down from the top, it's match will be two from the right and one up from the bottom. Knowing this, it's possible to get a perfect score, which will earn you a special bonus of 7 extra lives.

Stage E[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage E.png

Head to the right and you'll encounter your first bat. Jump over it to reach the first Wagyanizer, but watch out for a spider which drops from the ceiling. Yell at it to freeze it, and make your way past the bat beyond it. When the second Wagyanizer beyond the platform comes into view, you can make a warp appear here by jump up and yelling at the ceiling to the left of the platform 10 times. If you jump into it, you will be transported all the way to Stage K! If you don't wish to warp (particularly if you wish to head toward Stage J instead) continue on to the platform and collect the xxxxsecond Wagyanizer. Jump over to the next ledge, but watch out for another falling spider. Leap over to the next platform where some fish are jumping out of the water. You'll need to jump up to \collect a third Wagyanizer, but avoid the creature that occupies the nearby ledge. Hop down to the low area below, and shoot the left wall twice to make a 1-Up appear. Then proceed to the right, avoiding the bat, and two Scorpions until the screen stops scrolling. At this time, you can take the lower path to Stage F, which leads to Stage J, or you can take the upper path which ultimately leads back up to Stage H.

Stage F[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage F.png

This stage is a continuation of the previous stage. Head right and jump up to the platforms above the water. Leap off the high one to try and snag the Wagyanizer in mid-air to the right. If you collected three from Stage E, you'll be set to turn invincible, and you can conceivably run all the way to the right and reach the boss. If you're not set up for that, there's a second Wagyanizer just beyond the first. Watch out for the next creatures below you, but consider using the bat that follows as a platform to the next ledge by yelling at it and stunning it. Continue to the right, freezing more bats that get in your way, and use them when appropriate to reach higher ledges. Watch out for spiders dropping down on to the high platforms. Eventually, you'll reach the end where a large black bat will challenge you to a game of Shiritori. Selected tiles are replaced one time, you get a maximum of 30 seconds to find a move, and you must either get eleven successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance to Stage J.

Stage G[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage G.png

This Stage is a verticle stage. To beat it, you must jump up from the bottom of the stage to the top. Start by heading over to the right side of the screen and jumping up to the ledge. Then hop from one platform to the next until you reach the first Wagyanizer. Collecting this one should turn you invincible if you collected the three Wagyanizers from Stage E. Take advantage of this and jump up as high as you can to make the most progress through the stage. It's actually possible to make it all the way to the exit in the time you have. If you're not invincible, you must jump up very carefully, and watch out for any creatures that might be patrolling, or even just landing on the platform you're about to jump up to. Freeze bats and other enemies when you can, and use them as platforms to help you navigate the path to the top.

Stage H[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage H.png

Stage H is a lot like Stage D, but a bit shorter. The first Wagyanizer is a short walk from the start before a brick wall with a ball bouncing on it. From the first wall, you can jump up to a high ledge where you can avoid a ball bouning below. Wait for the higher of the two canes that you see to fall to the ground, and then leap over to the wall it was crossing. Yell at the spring bouncing in the air to freeze it in place, and drop down below the next bouncing ball. Continue on to the next springs. Yell at the first one and drop down to collect a second Wagyanizer that's nearly embedded in the wall. Then jump back and over the spring. Avoid the middle spring and shout at the third spring to stun it so you can safely drop down below it. The third Wagyanizer is above a short wall ahead. Watch out for the bouncing balls, as well as the jumping sneaker on the other side of the next wall. Then proceed to the right, and a construction worker with a jack hammer will bounce towards you and challenge you to a game of concentration. You have 30 seconds to choose two tiles, and you have to match at least 6 tiles to advance to Stage I. One thing worth noting about this game is that a majority of the matching tiles are right next to each other, except for the two outside columns where they are one apart. Knowing this, it's possible to get a perfect score, which will earn you a special bonus of 7 extra lives.

Stage I[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage I.png

This is an unusual stage in that it is constructed out of a series of pink slides. When you arrive, start running to the right, and you will begin to slide. Keep holding right as you slide, and your momentum will carry you over the length of the slide, picking up an Wagyanizer as you go. When the slide ends, be sure to continue holding right and you should soar through the air. Don't try to press jump as that may stop you from reaching the next slide. On the second slide, take the top path to collect a second Wagyanizer. The end of the slide will send you sailing through the air, likely flying over a Wagyanizer. That's ok, don't worry about that one. Instead, take the middle path of the next slide to collect a Wagyanizer, and then back track along the bottom slide to collect a fourth Wagyanizer and go invincible. Then jump up to the very top and start sliding through a line of enemies for bonus points. Continue this on the next slide by taking the lower slide. After another gap, stick to the top where your invicibility should carry you through one more spiked ball. Then stop at the end of this slide and wait for the rotating platforms to line up for your jump. Ride the platform over so you can jump to the next set of slides. A Wagyanizer can be collected along the middle slide, which is really short and leads to another rotating platform. Time your jump over to it, and collect the Wagyanizer in mid-air beyond the platform. Either section of the next slide leads to another Wagyanizer and to a third rotating platform. Ride it to a fourth Wagyanizer in mid-air, and collect it to go invincible again. Then crash into the all of the enemies found along the top levels of the next two sets of slides. You will reach the end and a pink girl with purple hair will fly on to the screen to challenge you to a game of Shiritori. Selected tiles are replaced two times, you get a maximum of 40 seconds to find a move, and you must either get eleven successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance to stage K.

Stage J[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage J.png

This entire stage consists of multiple platforms positions above a body of water. Fish will leap out of the water in an effort to bite you as you cross the platforms. After collecting the first Wagyanizer, shoot the left side of the next platform to the right. You'll have to watch out for the enemies that occupy the area, but if you shoot the right space 10 times, a bonus warp will open. Continue right to locate a second Wagyanizer. On the very same platform, shoot the right side 10 times and you'll locate yet another bonus warp. Then continue to the right, and carefully hop across the small platforms, watching out for any fish that leap out of the water. Around when the third Wagyanizer comes into view, a spider will drop from the sky. A fourth Wagyanizer is right behind it, which should turn you invincible. From here, you should have no problem rushing your way to the end of the stage before the invincibility runs out. Just be careful not to fall into the water. The exit will transport you to Stage L.

Stage K[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage K.png

As you start this stage, you'll have to hop over some crabs walking to the left. The first Wagyanizer is very high in the air, so you'll probably need to yell at the third crab to stun it and use it as a platform to reach the Wagyanizer from. Continue to the right, but before you jump up to the first ledge, shoot the space in front of the ledge 10 times to access a bonus warp. Then jump up to the ledge and hop up on the highest pillar on the right. If you jump up here and yell at the sky, you will reveal a second warp. This one will catapult you all the way to Stage S. Take it if you wish. Otherwise, continue to the right. You'll have to hop over several sets of crabs and one-eyed creatures along the floor and on tree trunks. You'll find a second Wagyanizer high in the air before you encounter a small octopus on a platform. Following this, jump over the crab on the floor, but yell at the crab on the platform beyond first to stun it. At this point, three one-eyed creatures will fall from the sky. Wait them out before proceeding. A third Wagyanizer will appear around a group of crabs. Finally, a fourth Wagyanizer will be on the ground shortly after. If this is your fourth, you will turn invincible. Use this chance to rush as far ahead to the right of this very long stage as you can. As you continue right, you'll eventually find a rising cloud. Beyond the cloud is a large pink fish. It starts up high in the sky, and will occasionally descend. It will move towards Wagyan as it drifts down. You can actually jump on this fish's back and ride it if you want, although you shouldn't bother if you're invincible. It won't get you all the way across, but it can help you cross the body of water that you're about to encounter. When you reach it, you'll have to jump from island to island, watching out for crabs and any other creatures that get in your way. When you get closer to the end, a school of fish will leap out of the water. Wait them out if you're not invincible. Beyond that, you'll reach the end of the stage where a dragon will appear and challenge you to Shiritori. Selected tiles are replaced three times, you get a maximum of 20 seconds to find a move, and you must either get thirteen successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance to stage N.

Stage L[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage L.png

Right after you start, you'll have to jump up to a platform with a creaturecrawling across it. Right behind it will be a bat. The best thing to do is patiently wait for both of them to get closer to the left before yelling at them and stunning them. Beyond them, you'll see two Wagyanizers floating in mid-air. Leap out to collec them, and when you land, watch out for the bat. You can shoot the air above the next high platform to create a warp which leads to Stage K. This isn't a very advantageous warp, so it's best ignored. When you jump over to the next platform, watch out for some fish leaping out of the water. Advance to the next platform as quickly as possible. You'll have to dodge a bat, a spider, and a catterpillar as you proceed to the right. The exit is just a short jump away, but if you drop down into the pit where a creature is patrolling and shoot the left wall 10 times, you'll open a warp that leads to Stage O. Unlike the first warp, this is a significant advancement. Otherwise, proceed to Stage M.

Stage M[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage M.png

To clear this stage, you must be able to time your jumps off of springboards so that they launch you into the air. The stage starts off with a springboard right away. Jump off of it when you're almost off the edge. You should leap just as some fish are jumping toward you. Keep the jump button held down so you stay aloft longer and make it to the island in the water. Along the way, you should pick up the first Wagyanizer. The second Wagyanizer is easy to spot ahead, just watch out for more fish. Since you likely collected two Wagyanizers in Stage L, you'll probably turn invincible now. Be careful, as this can make timing jumps off the springboard more difficult. When you approach the second springboard, you'll notice a large pink fish in the sky. You can actually jump on top of this fish once it drops low enough and ride it to the right if you don't want to use the spring board. You'll end up at another island with a small octopus guarding the third springboard. A fish will leap out of the water as you approach it. Fly off the springboard to reach the end of the stage, where a dragon will appear and challenge you to Shiritori. Selected tiles are replaced three times, you get a maximum of 20 seconds to find a move, and you must either get thirteen successful matches or force the computer into an unwinable state to advance to stage O.

Stage N[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage N.png

This stage starts out comically cruel at first. As you approach the first Wagyanizer at the end of the starting ledge, a fish will leap toward you. Hang back and wait a moment for it to pass before picking up the Wagyanizer. Then wait a moment longer for the crab on the next island to start retreating away before you try to jump on its island. When you land, remain on the left side and let the leaping fish fall back into the water before continuing. On the next island, yell at one of the leaping fish to stun them and use them as a platform to reach the second Wagyanizer. Proceed to the next island and yell at the crabs to stun them while you jump over them. Continue carefully to the right, watching out for leaping fish. You will reach an island with two springboards on it, one high and one low. Try to leap off the second board and hold jump down to sail through the air and collect a third and fourth Wagyanizer, which should turn you invincible. You'll land on an island with another springboard on it at the very end. This one can be tricky to launch from, but if you're invincible, you should be moving fast enough to reach the final island, and on to the end of the stage. You'll encounter a pink dragon who will challenge you to a game of Concentration. You have 30 seconds to choose two tiles, and you must find at least 6 matching pairs to advance to Stage O.

Stage O[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage O.png

Many inanimate objects will attack you as you pass through a village. It will start with a sneaker which, if you stun it with a shout, you can use to jump up and collect the first Wagyanizer. A cane will come along, followed by another sneaker. After that, a black orb will float along the bottom of the screen. You must jump over it, you cannot stun it. Stun the cane in front of the next house and use it to jump up and collect the second Wagyanizer. If you yell at the space to the right of the roof, you can make a 1-Up appear. As you approach the next house, watch out for the spring bouncing beyond it. Another black orb will float along the ground. Yell at the cane in front of the next house and jump onto the roof. Yell at the air above the roof ten times to make a bonus warp appear. Proceed to the right, staying on top of the houses where it's relatively safer. Watch out for a set of three springs. Try to stun all of them at once and collect the third Wagyanizer above them. A fourth Wagyanizer is waiting in front of the next long house. Collect it to turn invincible, but you won't have far to go until you reach the end.

Wagyan Land item Super Wagyanizer.png

When you do, an old yellow Wagyan will appear and approach you. He will offer to give you the treasure of the Wagyans, the Super Wagyanizer. This item allows you to shout out a rapid beam which instantly kills enemies. While this may seem like a great item to have, it has one drawback: you will be unable to stun enemies and use them as platforms. You will only be able to kill them. This shouldn't be a huge drawback, but it does prevent you from reaching certain Wagyanizers in hard-to-reach locations. The ease of removing dangerous threats from your path makes up for this shortcoming. After you decide whether to take it or not, you will advance to Stage P.

Stage P[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage P.png

You will still be in a village setting, only now you will be travelling from right to left. Right off the bat, an indestructible black orb will pass along the bottom. As an umbrella appears, two Wagyanizers will be visible above the roof of a house. If you chose to take the Super Wagyanizer, you will be able to destroy the umbrella with your shout, and the Wagyanizers will do nothing except lend to you reaching invincibility. Continue to the left, dodging more black orbs that fly through the middle of the screen, and removing or stunning umbrella that approach you. A pair of canes will patrol a ledge in the middle of the stage. Then you'll have to leap over tall barriers. A third Wagyanizer will appear in between two tall ledges. More canes will appear beyond that. After a long ledge, you can yell at the space above a small platform to make a bonus warp appear. Finally, the stage ends with a choice. You can stay along the ground to collect a fourth Wagyanizer (not recommended since the stage is going to end, and you won't be able to take advantage of the invincibility) and continue on to Stage Q, or take the upper path above the steps and head to Stage S. There's an item to be obtained at the end of both stages, but you can get access to both items if you know about a warp in Stage R.

Stage Q[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage Q.png

There are some particularly difficult jumps in this stage, so be careful. Even more importantly, watch out for fish leaping out of the water as you approach. Time your jumps so that you land when it's safe. After jumping from the first high ledge, you'll land on a lower ledge with a Wagyanizer just as a fish is flying through the area. If you held off on collecting the last Wagyanizer in Stage P, you can start your invincibility now. Otherwise, consider this the first Wagyanizer. Continue to the left, and after you encounter a crab, shoot the area ahead of you on a short ledge to discover a bonus warp. A second Wagyanizer can be found on a low platform. Watch out for the crab patrolling the next low platform. As you jump up the next high ledges, you'll see a floating pink fish. You can jump on top of this fish and ride on top of it. In fact, you can only collect the third Wagyanizer by riding on the fish. Jump off before you reach a set of clouds. You'll only be able to pick up the fourth Wagyanizer high above the clouds if you didn't choose the Super Wagyanizer because you need to stun one of the fish to reach it. After you cross the clouds, shoot the space to the left of the next platform to reveal a 1-up. Watch out for the leaping fish as you climb the next set of clouds. Beyond that, you'll have to pass through alternating very high and very low platforms. A Wagyanizer can be found on a low platform, and this may be your fourth, starting your invincibility. Head to the left, dodging the remaining fish and crabs until you reach the end.

Wagyan Land item Time Stopper.png

A blue injured Wagyan will approach you. He escaped from Dr. Devil, and has an item for you. It is the "Time Stopper" and it allows you to pause time once during your final battle with Dr. Devil. Unlike some other items you can find in the game, there doesn't appear to be any downside or trade off that you have to make when deciding whether to take it or not. After you choose, the blue Wagyan will pass away.

Stage R[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage R.png

This stage is a continuation of Stage Q. The first Wagyan appears right after the start, along with a fish and a crab. A flying pink fish appears very early on, and you can choose to ride on top of it if you wish. If you choose not to, be very careful when jumping from one thin platform to another, and hold the jump button down for maximum distance. After landing on a very low platform, continue over the next middle platform to the second low platform beyond. If you shoot the space on the left side ten times, you will open a warp that takes you to Stage S. If you choose not to take it, simply hop up to the left where you'll reach the end, and a vulture will appear to challenge you to a game of concentration. You only have 20 seconds to pick to tiles, and you have to match at least 6 cards to advance to Stage U.

Stage S[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage S.png

This stage is designed to illustrate that choosing to take the Super Wagyanizer does not necessarily make the game easier. There are some very difficult jumps which would be made easier by keeping the ability to stun enemies and use them as platforms. If you chose the Super Wagyanizer, you'll have to make very precise leaps in order to stay alive throughout this stage. The first jump is an example. Be sure to keep jump held down as you leap to the next platform. Watch out for a spider on the top ledge and collect the first Wagyanizer. Watch out for the fish who perform two leaps out of the water before making another difficult jump to the next platform. Continue on and collect the second Wagyanizer out of the air. Then watch out for the Scoprion that rushes towards you. Ride the floating platform up to the ledge high in the sky, and watch out for the worm on the next large platform ahead. From here, continue jumping along various short platforms, watching out for leaping fish until you come to a pair of longer ledges, with a Wagyanizer on the bottom. If you shoot the space in the middle of the higher platform, you can make a bonus warp appear. As you jump ahead to the next long platform, watch out for the combination of the bat and the snail before you proceed. Eventually, you will reach a set of tree trunks that get progressively higher. You will find a Wagyanizer before one of them. If this is your fourth, it will turn you invincible, and you should be able to race through the rest of the stage. After jumping over a tree trunk on an island, you will have to cross a long gap using three rotating platforms until you reach the end.

Wagyan Land item Wagyan Copter.png

You will encounter a grave. The ghost of a departed Wagyan will appear and offer to give you the Wagyan Copter item. If you accept this item, you will be able to fly idefinitely, but you will never be able to shout and attack enemies. This item even replaces the Super Wagyanizer. You must make this choice carefully. While taking it may mean that it's much easier to fly through many levels, the lack of ability to attack means you can't necessarily defend yourself. And Stage T is constructed in such a way as to make it more difficult to complete if you rely too much on the Wagyan Copter.

Stage T[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage T.png

If you chose to take the Wagyan Copter, then do not use it to simply fly across the top of the screen the entire time. The game is designed to send pairs of orbs along the top, forcing you to carefully lower yourself so you do not collide with them. The first Wagyanizer is found above the first very high ledge. Shortly after you get going, you'll encounter a flying pink fish. You can ride on top of it in order to collect a second Wagyan beneath a platform. Jump back on top of the platform and shoot the left side 10 times to open a bonus warp. Then continue on to the left, and you'll reach an area with alternating high and low platforms. You'll find a Wagyanizer on top of the last high platform before a cloud. If you shoot the space below that platform, you'll reveal a 1-up. Then jump from cloud to cloud, avoiding the balck orbs along the top, and the leaping fish from below. Once off the cloud, leap from a high platform to the next ledge to collect another Wagyanizer. Even if this one turns you invincible, it's just a few more jumps before you reach the end of the stage, where a vulture will appear and challenge you to a game of Concentration. You have 20 seconds to select two cards, and you must match at least 6 pairs to win. This will send you on to Stage U.

Stage U[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage U1.png

This is actually a very simple stage with almost no threats. Jump on the glowing cloud, and it will rise you up into the air. Then you will begin to see more clouds appearring from the top of the screen. The background will scroll by very quickly, as you must now jump from one cloud to the next, attempting to stay on the screen. It's not necessary to jump on to every single cloud, try to judge which clouds you should leap to, and which ones you can skip. After a while, the fast scrolling will stop, and the screen will no longer advance on it's own. From here you can safely take your time and jump up the clouds until you reach the very top of the tree, where you can enter through the large hole.

Wagyan Land screen Stage U2.png

Once you do this, you will be transfered to the interior of the tree. You will begin a free-fall descent to the bottom. As you fall, four Wagyanizers will rise up from the bottom of the screen. It's recommended that you only collect two or three of them, instead of wasting the invincibility on this section of the game. Instead, prepare yourself so that you can become invincible early on in the final stage.

Stage V[edit]

Wagyan Land screen Stage V.png

You start off in the lower right corner of a large tree. You'll see a bee flying overhead, but it's no threat to you. The real threat comes from the small boulders which fall down as you jump to the first platform. Watch out for them as you continue past the waterfall. Stop and let them roll away if necessary. Beyond the waterfall, another bee will appear near the top. You are close to the left side of the tree. The stage will stop scrolling left, and start scrolling up. Be very careful of more boulder which appear when this transition occurs. Then hop up the small platforms until the vertical scrolling starts.

Now you must make your way back to the right. Watch out for the bee near the top, and approach the floating platform in front of the waterfall. As soon as you land on them, they will begin to sink, so walk to the right side and leap off before you sink too low and are unable to reach the next platform. Don't worry about the bees, they should be too low to threaten you. Once you reach the other side of the waterfall, you'll find a Wagyanizer that you can only collect if you let the platform sink enough. If you came in with three levels of power, this will make you invincible. Either crash through the bees at the end, along with the black orb, or carefully avoid them as you approach the platforms on the right. Hop up to the next level.

At the top, watch out for another bee, and the approach the floating clouds. Hop from one to the next as you float above the top of the waterfall. Watch out for the black orbs which appear as you get closer to the left. Then avoid the bees as you reach the platforms. When you get close to the right side of the tree, two black orbs will fly from left to right, and the lower one can be difficult to avoid, especially if you're already mid-jump when it appears. Once again, climb up to the very top.

Head back to the right, and as a black orb flies to the left, you'll spot a springboard. Use it to sail over the large gap. You'll have to land on a very tiny platform with another springboard on it. All the while, you must watch out for more black orbs and drop below them so they don't strike you. Ideally, you should land on and immediately jump off the next springboard, but if you have to, walk back to the left and try again. It's even more important to land with precision after the second jump because more black orbs will approach and collide with you if you don't. Then continue to the left and hop up the platforms.

The fifth and sixth levels contains no enemies. You will simply walk back dozens of Wagyans who are all imprisoned and waiting for you to rescue them. The only threat is potentially missing a jump and falling through the bottom of the screen. Dying in this stage, even against the final boss, sends you back to the beginning of the stage.

When you reach the right side of the sixth level, Dr. Devil himself will confront you and challenge you to a game. He challenges you to both Concentration and Shiritori, in that order. You must complete Concentration first. You have 20 seconds to pick two tiles, and you must make six matches to win. Once you successfully comeplete that game, the Shiritori game will begin. However, there's a huge caveat with this game. It's not enough to put Dr. Devil in a position where he can't pick a card. You won't win that way. You have to successfully score a large number of points before he will concede. As a result, the strategy is a little different. You don't want to choose words that will prevent Dr. Devil from picking a next word. You actually want to help Dr. Devil be able to select a word, at least until your point count crosses the threshhold. This is extremely difficult to do, and Dr. Devil has no similar incentive to help you win. You have to control the game very carefully and know that you're picking a word that he can follow. Ideally you should pick a word that he can follow, and know that the word he is likely to pick will be one that you can follow as well. Again, this is an extremely difficult battle.
