The Vandis heretics and Black Legion are overrunning the Capital Spire itself. The Blood Ravens are called to ensure that the capital doesn't fall.

Objectives
  • Destroy the Heretic Attackers.
  • Defend the Palace (Structural Integrity: 85%)
    • Secondary: Capture the Shrine and Array.
    • Redemption Opportunity: Holding the Shrine and Array redeems your squads.
  • Defeat the Final Assault
  • Corruption Opportunity: Letting this mission expire corrupts your squads.

When deplyoing your squad, select wargear and loadout designed for engaging large amounts of infantry. There is also a need for anti-vehicular weapons as well. You may have to redo the mission a few times. A common recommendation is to also choose Cyrus (to quickly capture the shrine and array), or ensure that one of the squads can teleport in and out.

Defending the Spire[edit]

This is a defense mission, where you need to repel enemy forces attacking from across the bridge. When your squads deploy, move towards the building, and repel the attackers. The initial waves consist of random infantry, with a few walkers appearing shortly before the secondary objective, and tanks arriving in the final assault. In general, you can have your units remain near the strategic point, making multi-member squads extremely difficult to knock down.

After repelling the initial wave, you receive two squads of imperial guardsmen, and can deploy two tarantula turrets (in addition to those you bring with your squad). These are weaker than your regular forces, but they have mines and frag grenades as energy-based abilities. When the secondary mission objective appears, you may use them to escort a squad to capture one of the secondary buildings.

The shrine and array are can only be captured after you receive the secondary mission objective. Both shrines are protected by three infantry squads, which should pose no problem for a likewise response. The best method to capture the shrine is to either use stealth, or to teleport near the buildings and capture them. Once a building captured, an undeployed squad will arrive and protect the building on your behalf, and you will also receive two more turrets along with war gear.

Eventually, there will be an announcement of the final wave. Return to the palace near the strategic point. The enemy will make a final push, even attempting to bypass your squads, on the palace. Use all your squads abilities, especially the ones with area effects to hit multiple units. Most of the attack arrives from the bridge, while there will be a few squads flanking from the side.
