The items and magic in Wonderboy are used by holding down and pressing jump

Magic[edit]

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Fire Ball.png Fireball: the fireball fires across the screen in a wavy pattern for a short distance

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Tornado.png Tornado: When the tornado is used it races along the ground as soon as it hits something solid it changes direction.

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Thunder.png Thunder: When this magic is used it hits all enemies on the screen at once.

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Key.png Keys: They open doors

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Arrow.png Arrows: Arrows fire directly up, good for killing the clouds that shoot fireballs at you but that's about it.

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Boomerang.png Boomerang: Can be used multiple times unlike the other sub weapons, It can also collect items if it hits them.

Collectibles[edit]

Coins: Give you a random amount of gold between 1 and 19 coins

Money bag: Gives you a random amount of gold between 20 and 99 coins

Heart: Heart's restore a random amount of health upon pick up

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Big Heart.png Big Heart These big hearts restore all of your life

Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap - Heart Container.png Heart container: Heart containers increase your health bar by one heart

Potion: Potions restore your some or all of your health as soon as you lose all your hearts, you have the chance to get a free one if you die at any point. The hades armor fully restores your hearts but at the cost of the armor. (see hades armor glitch)

The Salamander cross: The salamander cross releases you from meka dragons curse, turning you back in to a human as soon as you touch it.
