After reading the introductory text, leave your house and walk to the right to the next screen. If you are playing the PlayStation 3 version you can read the sign here to unlock a trophy. Go through the door in the tree stump. Talk to the person to learn more details about your quest to receive an Elixir and three Fire Storms. Go back outside and jump onto the moving platform. Hop onto the top of the tree stump and jump three times on the left-hand side to get three random coins, then continue to the right, killing the two small snakes on the way.
Kill the snakes in this area until you have 30 gold; leaving the area and re-entering will make the snakes reappear. Once you have enough enter the door in the tree stump to buy the Leather Boots and equip them to improve your movement speed, then exit and continue to the right to reach Purapril Castle. The guards won't let you in yet, so continue to the right to the ocean.
The crabs here drop coins while the monkeys drop healing hearts. Shion can swim, so don't worry about falling into the water; any items that fall into the water will be lost, however, so be ready to catch the bouncing coins while killing the crabs. On the second screen you'll see a platform moving vertically that doesn't seem to have any purpose; get on it and jump three times while it is at its highest point to get two gold coins and a small heart. After this you'll see a treasure chest surrounded by wooden blocks; you can't get to it yet, so for now continue onwards to the next screen. At the end of this screen you'll see a jumping jellyfish. You need to time your jump so you land on its head while it is in the air and then jump across to each of the other jellyfish that appear. There are four jellyfish, but if you bought the Leather Boots you probably won't need the final one. Anyway, get across and onto the opposite cliff. Walk to the end of the screen to enter Alsedo, the fairy village.
