There three main factions: USA, Soviet Union & NATO. The three are playable on Multiplayer games. However the Soviet Union is not playable for the single-player campaign, as the campaign is centered on the USA and NATO perspective. The USA and NATO are pitted against the Soviet Union throughout the story, and in online play.
