This is not your average RPG game. You'll go through a journey about how the Monado tie in everyone's storyline. You're going to encounter different characters, large and small. The journey might be easy but doing sidequests and tackling many others can be hard. Here's what to be expected:
- Explore epic environments. Finding all locations will reveal the entire map.
- Try out different protagonists. Shulk, Reyn, Dunban, Riki, Fiora, Sharla and Melia all have their own unique battle characteristics and also a sidequest for each one to unlock more tree links.
- Sidequests galore! Doing sidequests gives you massive experience, weapons and more to give you the edge in finishing this epic quest.
- Upgrading arts is very important to have very effective power on the battlefield.
- Affinity between the town and party members can help when it comes to working together and lifting town city spirits.

Learn how to upgrade arts, change arts, and link up your tree to have a better effective experience when working together.
Affinity[edit]
If you choose the right answers, the two people will be more likely to work together better than before. You can do it by finding the hands icon and battling with chain attacks.
Opening up locations[edit]
Finding locations can be a pain, but it's worth checking out where to go and what to avoid in your quest to find out where the Monado come from.
Protagonists[edit]
Shulk, Reyn, Fiora, Sharla, Melia and Riki. All have their own style of fighting and tastes. Experiment with them because you'll be using all characters depending on the requirements of the story. Also, you can choose Japanese from the language options if you want to hear them speak in Japanese.
Side-quests[edit]
It's worth doing every sidequests to help get much better when defeating bosses that are part of the main story. Certain sidequests may be simple but a lot more can be painful. Make sure to check out certain places on certain times to complete it for a reward.
Rebuilding Colony 6[edit]
The colony has been devastated by a Mechonis attack. It would be worth it to follow special requirements to find out how to bring it back to its former glory. It's no easy task but its worth bringing the colony back to life again.
