Your team minus Dickson, Otharon and Juju, continue at the beginning of the forest area full of trees and water. There's a cutscene introducing Melia, the only playable character of the High Entia but at this moment, she loses her people and uses her power before she passes out that you'll see later. As usual, continue shopping and do more sidequests. Last of all, do as much as you can to reveal map locations as it will help you get around.
Saving Melia Antiqua[edit]
Cross the bridge and follow the path on the left to the colourless part of the forest. Melia is unconscious and needs water crystal to heal her back to normal by Sharla. You'll be controlling Shulk for the moment. Unless it's already revealed, go to the nopon merchants at the start and go down until you see an area where you can see the waterfall. Pick the item and another cutscene happens. The silver hair homs man introduces himself as Alvis. Plus a first encounter with the Telethia and no doubt, another new power: Purge.
Here's a brief of the next kind of monsters you'll be dealing with. Certain monsters will give spike damage that's equal to your regular attack if you get close to it and when it's been toppled and dazed. Using purge and even spike defence gems will help keep your team from dying from a spike attack.
In battle, use Shulk's new purge attack to make it easier to take on the Telethia. If you decide to control Alvis, sadly like Dickson, he only has one attack so don't bother with him.
Reyn calls Shulk after the attack and Alvis disappears. The next cutscene is a little of a shock. Of course if you're paying attention, Sharla isn't going to shoot at Melia with her rifle! She shoots it in the air so the water crystal disperse and eventually heals Melia. She wakes and saw Shulk touching her hand and slaps him in the face! Regardless, they decide to head to Frontier Village where a group of nopons live.
It would be wise to at least finish looking around the forest and really watch out for monsters that has a higher level than yours. Also watch out for dinosaurs! Including what looks like a tyranasaurus rex! Well, when you reach the village Melia brings you in to meet the chief.
As for using Melia, she uses her magic arts which is distinctive like a female magician. Not to spoil away until you reach the High Entia Tomb, once you choose like water, fire and ice for example, use the middle talent art to use that magic.
