Controls[edit]

  • Joystick: Use a Kempston joystick to make Yogi walk, jump and zoom (or swim, in the case of the second level) left and right, and go through doors; you can also press the button to make him fire bubbles at the enemies (except for in the fifth level, for he is presumably too tired to do it for that one).

Yogi Bear[edit]

YBCU Yogi.png

Although Yogi's voice actor, Charles Dawson ("Dawes") Butler, died in 1988, his character returns, once again, to collect (or fix) items (which are represented by eight "I"s at the top of the screen); his energy is represented by a knife to the left of these "I"s, and is gained by collecting the show's trademark picnic baskets (as long as the bothersome Ranger Ned Smith is not watching). If Yogi should run out of energy, one of the prongs on the fork to the left of the knife (which represent his lives) will disappear - but he can gain them back at 20000 points and every 30000 points thereafter. In the first level, Yogi must pick up different types of litter in Jellystone Park and put them all into the litter bins - and in the second one, his old friend Boo-Boo has found problems with the park's water supply and he must find the right tools to fix them. In the third one, he must find the parts of Ranger Ned Smith's bicycle around the swamp then take them to the hollow tree to put it back together; in the fourth one, the local film studio is in chaos as nobody can find anything, which means Yogi must find the missing items and take them to the right sets. Finally, in the fifth level, Yogi must find the parts of his bed, and take them to his bedroom - but he is presumably too tired to fire bubbles at enemies in this one.
