Controls[edit]

  • Z and X: In the ZX, CPC, and C64 versions, you'll have to use these two keys to make Yogi walk left and right, along with Enter to make him jump; however, for the Atari 8-bit and Commodore Amiga versions, you will have to use a joystick instead (with the button to make him jump). In the ZX, CPC and C64 versions, you can also press F to pause and resume the game - but the only way to abandon the game is to reset the console.

Yogi Bear[edit]

Although Yogi's voice actor, Charles Dawson ("Dawes") Butler, died in 1988, his character (who is depicted as cyan in the ZX version due to technical limitations, as is everything else) is on a mission to escape from Jellystone Park, after Ranger Ned Smith received a telephone call informing him that it had to close and all the animals were to get moved to the local zoo; picnic baskets, apples, hamburgers, roast chickens, and candy apples are all worth 100 points when collected but there are also some "invisible" items that are worth 250 points when collected. At the end of every level, Yogi will also receive a 2500-point bonus, along with 100 points for every second of time he has remaining - and in three of the levels (Jellystone Park itself, The Wild West and The Funfair) Yogi has the opportunity to collect six special items (car pieces for Jellystone Park, money bags for The Wild West, and cowboy hats for The Funfair), and if he manages to collect all six of them, he shall receive a 7500-point bonus at the end of the level (in addition to the regular 2500-point bonus for finishing it and the 100-point one for every second of time remaining).
