Yoshi's Story/Lift Castle

A Locked Door

The level starts with a locked door, a hint block, and an egg block. Fill up from the egg block. A blue shy-guy will approach from the right. If you want to go left, slowly walk toward the black shy-guy with the anvil. When he drops it, wait for him to start lifting it, then dash through. If you have a black or white yoshi, you can eat the black shy-guy; otherwise, you'll take damage. Jump up into the pipe and defeat the shy-guys. Fill up your health from the power flower and wake up Miss Warp #1. You'll come back here later. Go back down the pipe and past the black shy-guy.

Going right, dodge the grinders. If you're not trying for 30 melons, lick the banana on your way through. When the next grinder starts going left, follow it. Crouch when it starts coming back and run the rest of the way after it passes. Eat the two shy-guys. Jump up and lick the surprise ball when the grinders are out of the way. Eat the fruit on the right and then go left. For the next set of grinders, eat the fruit on the left and then go right.

The mystery ball contains a switch. Before you flip it, eat the two melons suspended above the grinder. After flipping the switch, heart coins will appear. Duck or jump the grinder and avoid the bounce ball. It will try to push your yoshi around, but it is stuck on a track. The next two bounce balls are guarding platforms. Jump to the first platform when the bounce ball is almost to the upper left corner, then jump to the second platform. Grab the melons if they are on this side. Next, jump on the second switch. Climb the surprise ball trail and grab the melon from the cloud. Eat the lower melon, then sniff the raised bump for two heart coins.

If you're low on health, go left through the pipe and wake up Miss Warp #2. Stay as far right as possible until you get to the bottom. Fill up from the power flower and then jump on Miss Warp #1 to get back up. Go back through the pipe. Return to the door and enter it. Hit the ComBat with an egg to make the key fall. If you run out of eggs, go all the way left to find an egg block and a power flower. Ground pound the power flower for four heart coins. Sniff back to the right for two more heart coins. Once you have the key, go back through the door and through the pipe.

If you didn't before, wake up Miss Warp #2. Skip the parasol and flutter jump to the left underneath it to find the first special heart. Land on the platform and eat the melon. Jump to the right and eat the melon on that platform. Now go to the left and down for another melon. Try to land on the cloud below that. It's easier to grab the next two melons from there. If you don't get all the melons or fruit that you want, hop on the Miss Warp to go back to the top. Sniff between the bubbled fruit for two heart coins. Go through the pipe. Dodge the black shy-guy (see above) and enter the door.
