Force rank abilities are extra abilities that can be equipped to a CO. Up to 4 abilities can be equipped at a time. What abilities are available to each CO depends on how many battles they are used in and how well they do.
All effects will affect only your units unless explicitly stated otherwise. When it states all units, this covers all of your units.
