Single Player Campaigns[edit]

Red Kingdom[edit]

  • Price: 250 Microsoft Points
  • Date: August 8, 2007
  • Availability: All regions with Xbox Live can download this content.
  • Details: Red Kingdom is currently the only story mode download for Band of Bugs. It consists of a campaign similar to Maal's Story, but is ten missions long rather than twenty, though the missions are considered to be of a higher difficulty level. This content pack also introduces two new bugs, the Cavalry and Siege units, and a tile set called Red Rock. The tiles override some of the maps originally included with the game, and are also available for use with the Band of Bugs level editor. The update also utilized Microsoft's Gamerscore Policy by adding two new Achievements, which can be viewed on the Achievements page. Users may not be able to unlock these Achievements, there was initially a glitch with the awards not being on Microsoft's server before the content was released. The problem has since been fixed, but if you completed the goals before that point, you'll need to recover your gamertag and re-play the last mission to unlock the Achievements that you deserve. [1]

Ninja Sticks of Fury[edit]

  • Availability: Not yet available.
  • Details: A new Achievement appeared on the Band of Bugs Achievement list on Xbox.com in early October 2007. It appears to be for a new downloadable campaign titled "Ninja Sticks of Fury." A Red Kingdom Achievement can be earned by getting ten gold stars on downloadable campaign mission, but since the Red Kingdom DLC only has ten missions, it was assumed that another set of missions would come out in the near future. The only other information on this expansion available at this time is a video which has been uploaded by NinjaBee. [2] It shows clips of the new level editor content and new missions that this expansion will contain.
