The Forgotten City is a game where the player is trapped in an ancient city cursed to live by the "Golden Rule": If as much as one person in the city sins, everyone will die. Thankfully for the player they can travel back in time and relive the same day over and over again until they figure out a way out.
The gameplay is largely dialog based, since violence generally means sin. As the player relives the day, they learn enough to stop the sinners in the city, figure out the mystery of who created the golden rule and why, as well as a way to end the curse.
The game was originally released as a mod for Skyrim, but was later remade as a greatly expanded standalone experience.
