The King of Fighters '94 Re-Bout is a 2004 remake of the original The King of Fighters '94 that was a commemoration of the origin of The King of Fighters series.

This version has several new features like hi-res graphics, online play, team edit, a playable Rugal Bernstein, and the addition of Saisyu Kusanagi.

A version for the Microsoft Xbox was planned and almost finished, but the whole project got canceled before the release. There were no official reasons given other than the fact that the game had major bugs which couldn't be fixed.

All characters (except for the two new ones) keep their original moveset from The King of Fighters '94.
