''J-Adventure Mode'' is the "story" mode of Jump Superstars. Here you have to play through a map with four different islands, each with a number of stages. The first few stages are tutorial stages which teaches you how to play the game. All the other stages have a number of missions, which you have to fulfill to unlock komas, and to move on to other stages. You also unlock premade decks, multiplayer battle locations and "info characters" by playing through the stages.
''Wireless Mode'' lets you play against other people with Nintendo DS, or exchange decks with them. It's possible to play against others even if they don't have Jump Superstars, but then they'll only be able to use decks from your game.
''VS. Computer'' is multiplayer against only computer opponents.
''Deck Maker'' lets you edit your decks.
''Koma List'' shows you all the komas you have unlocked so far.
''Options'' lets you set options for sound, backlight and info character, and lets you delete the saved game data. It also shows some statistics.
Note: You can move the characters on the left of the menu by touching and dragging them.
