After the Bees have stopped firing, the game is very easy.  If you are careful to avoid the enemies that scroll off the bottom of the screen, you should be able to last indefinitely.  If you're in a two-player game, the first player can do the trick and enemies will not fire on the second player's turns either.  But after the first player has lost his last turn, the second player's enemies will resume firing.

Note: 11/JUL/2008 -- you can disarm by leaving two of the left most yellow bees.  Move to the right, about 3 space ships from the right.  The two bees will loop at the left and fire toward the right, you should be just out of their range... if you're too close to the right,  shots will come from offscreen on the right and kill you.  You may hear the shots, but you won't see them until they are almost at the bottom and come on the screen.  Anyway, sit at the right, you WILL have to move now and then when a shot comes on the screen, but that's rare -- and easy.. just move some to the left to let the shot go bye and then move back.  Now, with 2 bees, know which is the first and which is the second... each time they pass together, it's like a "wave" ... after 4 to 7 minutes of this, when the first bee comes on, you'll hear the sound for the shot, but NOT see one.  If (when) the second bee comes on and makes a sound or a shot, but you don't see one, then act quickly and kill both before they get off the bottom.  If you do, all enemies from that point on are "disarmed" ...  if the be went off the screen and you hear the shot but didn't see one, but it *did* shoot... and the second bee did not shoot -- and you shot both bees -- from then on the enemies can shoot only 1 laser/bomb shot at you at once -- this is a good intermediate step up from a full disarm and is sometimes the result of not paying attention to the "wave" and having the second be not shoot and then the first be of the next wave not shoot.  That's the biggest concern, as you're waiting 4-7 minutes, there are times when the first will make the sound for the shot, but then not fre, but the second will fire.. or the first will fire, but the second will not.  Pay attention to make sure BOTH do not fire on the SAME wave.  Some people say some later machines fixed this, but it has worked for me every time and is fairly easy to do.  Enjoy.  ps: some machines "reboot" at wave 256  :-)
