Character Stats

Movement: Determines speed.
Shooting: Determines shot power.
Passing: Determines passing speed.
Defense: Determines how far a character can slide tackle.

Character Types

Each character has a type. Their type will determine their stats and what kind of deke they have.

Power: High Shooting and Defense, low Movement and Passing.
Defensive: High Movement and Defense, low Shooting and Passing.
Offensive: High Shooting and Passing, low Movement and Defense.
Playmaker: High Passing and Movement, low Shooting and Defense.
Balanced: All stats are equal.

Dekes

Deke is a defensive move activated by pressing any direction on the D-Pad. Each character type genrally has the same kind of deke.

Power: Stands still in one place for about two seconds to deflect any nearby opponent.
Defensive: Teleports to the direction the control stick is pointing. The distance the character teleports depends on the color of the ball. This kind of deke can be used to teleport into the goal.
Offensive: Jumps up in the air and knocks away any character that he/she lands on.
Playmaker: Does a flip to dodge attacks. Passing can still occur while in midair. Boo instead phases out for half a second. If timed correctly, you can bypass the goalie and score with this deke.
Balanced: Gets a slight speed boost to dodge incoming attacks.

Captains

Captains are the lead character of your four man team. They are positioned in the front. While some captains have the same stats, they each have different special items. Special items do not affect the goalie unless specified.

Mario

Type: Balanced
Item: Super Mario
Notes: Super Mario causes Mario to grow large in size allowing you to trample your opponents. This doesn't work against the goalie.

Luigi

Type: Balanced
Item: Super Luigi
Notes: Super Luigi functions the same as Super Mario.

Yoshi

Type: Balanced
Item: Egg Roll
Notes: Yoshi's Big Hit uses his tongue to hit opponents from a distance. Egg Roll turns Yoshi into an Egg allowing you to run over opponents. The goalie can end Egg Roll if you get too close.

DK

Type: Power
Item: Thunder Wham
Notes: Thunder Wham tilts the arena and knocks away anyone close to DK, including the goalie.

Bowser

Type: Power
Item: Fire Storm
Notes: Fire Storm allows Bowser to breathe fire. Any character hit by this will run around uncontrollably for a short time.

Petey Piranah

Type: Power
Item: Mud Slinger
Notes: Mud Slinger shoots mud around, knocking down anyone you hit. The mud also impedes movement. Petey Piranah is unlocked when you win the Striker Cup.

Peach

Type: Playmaker
Item: Freeze Frame
Notes: Freeze Frame removes any character within Peach's proximity from the game for a short time. This can also hit your teammates.

Diddy

Type: Playmaker
Item: Red Card
Notes: Red Card summons a beacon to abduct an opponent for an extended period of time. Diddy is unlocked when you win the Crystal Cup.

Wario

Type: Offensive
Item: Gas Mask
Notes: Gas Mask shoots out green gas clouds. Any opponent that runs into this gas will run around uncontrollably.

Bowser Jr.

Type: Offensive
Item: Sonic Roar
Notes: Sonic Roar knocks back any character hit and also shrinks them. While shrunk, stats are at their lowest. Bowser Jr. is unlocked when you win the Fire Cup.

Daisy

Type: Defensive
Item: Crystal Smash
Notes: Crystal Smash unleashes crystals around Daisy to knock back opponents.

Waluigi

Type: Defensive
Item: Wall-Luigi
Notes: Wall-Luigi gives Waluigi a speed boost and creates a vine wall in his path. This move is great for trapping himself for a Megastrike.

Sidekicks

You can have three sidekicks along with your captain. While not as strong as a captain, each sidekick has their own skillshot. Unless stated otherwise, these skillshots can affect the goalie.

Koopa

Type: Balanced
Skillshot: Koopa fires a turtle shell to knock out any character it hits.

Shy Guy

Type: Balanced
Skillshot: Shy Guy rides a Bullet Bill towards the goal to knock away any character near the explosion.

Hammer Bro

Type: Offensive
Skillshot: Hammer Bro throws five hammers towards the goalie and shoots the ball. If Hammer Bro is not close enough to the goal the hammers won't hit the goalie.

Dry Bones

Type: Defensive
Skillshot: Charges the ball with electricity to temporarily stun the goalie.

Birdo

Type: Power
Skillshot: Puts the ball in an egg and fires the egg. If no player gets in the way of this shot it will run over the goalie and score.

Monty Mole

Type: Power
Skillshot: Digs underground and charges towards the goal. If you are close enough, this will knock down the goalie and score.

Boo

Type: Playmaker
Skillshot: Boo turns invisible and goes straight to the goal box to shoot. If used correctly, Boo will bypass the goalie and score.

Toad

Type: Playmaker
Skillshot: Toad sets the ball on fire and shoots it. If this hits the goalie it will set his hands on fire, preventing him from picking up the ball for a short time.
