This is a toned down, more balanced version of the AK47. It deals the strongest four-hit kill and has very high accuracy. However, like the AK47, the G36E lacks in firing rate and portability. The strange recoil pattern causes the gun to kick everywhere, making it difficult to handle.

Revision as of 00:38, 18 January 2009

The primary weapon is the gun you will be using the most. There are several types of primary weapons. This includes Assault Rifles, Submachine Guns, Machine Guns, and Sniper Rifles.

The manufacturer's names are not included in-game, they are there to reflect the fact that these are all real guns that exist in real life.

Assault Rifles

An assault rifle is the most popular weapon in Combat Arms. They are a good balance between all the statistics, and can be used a variety of situations.

US M16A3

Damage 23
Accuracy 92
Fire Rate 70
Portability 52
Recoil U-S-E 20-0-10
Crosshair 1-6
Ammo 30/90
Reload 6
Firing Modes Auto / Burst
Price 0

Common Name: M16

This gun isn't quite on par with the others because it is the default gun and costs no GP to maintain. It has a high rate of fire and fair recoil, but the main contributing factor to its crappiness is the damage. The M16 is the only assault rifle that will take more than four shots to kill.

Still, the M16 isn't a totally horrible gun, and you can still get kills with it if you are poor and don't have the GP to rent something better. The M16 can be fitted with all Modifications.

US M4A1

Damage 26
Accuracy 94
Fire Rate 70
Portability 53
Recoil U-S-E 3-3-0
Crosshair 1-4
Ammo 30/90

File:CA M4A1.jpg

Common Name: M4

The main reason why some people enjoy using the M4A1 is because of its ridiculously low recoil. Your crosshair will go up about a millimeter, and then rock side to side at a barely noticeable strength. The side recoil is completely eliminated if you attach and use a scope.

The low recoil is balanced by relatively weak damage, although it still gives a four-shot kill. The M4A1 can be attached with all Modifications.

US M4A1 CQBR (Supply Case)

Damage 26
Accuracy 94
Fire Rate 76
Portability 65
Recoil U-S-E 2-1-0
Crosshair 1-4
Ammo 30/90

Firing Modes Auto
Price Varies

File:CA M4A1-CQBR.jpg

Common Name: M4 CQBR

As a Supply Case weapon, it could take you a good amount of GP to actually get this gun. An improved version of the M4A1, the M4A1 CQBR has even less recoil (as if the M4A1 has a lot at all). It is slightly more portable, has a higher firing rate, and can be drawn faster.

Kalashnikov AK47

Damage 43
Accuracy 98
Fire Rate 60
Portability 45
Recoil U-S-E 35-6-21
Crosshair 1-8
Ammo 30/90
Reload 5

Price 800

File:CA AK47.jpg

Common Name: AK

This is the second strongest assault rifle. Capable of a three-hit kill, it is deadly in the hands of a skilled user. To add to the damage, the AK47 also features the second highest accuracy of all Assault Rifles.

The AK47's damage and accuracy is counterbalanced by bad statistics in many other areas. The recoil is very strong and can get out of hand (bursting instead of spraying helps to control it), the rate of fire is slow, the crosshair gets absolutely huge, and its not very portable. The AK47 is very often found attached with a Suppressor or Scope to lessen the recoil. You can also attach magazine mods.

Kalashnikov AK74U

Damage 31
Accuracy 94
Fire Rate 68
Portability 53
Recoil U-S-E 15-8-19
Crosshair 1-7
Ammo 30/90
Reload 5
Firing Modes Auto
Price 800

File:CA AK74U.jpg

Common Name: AK74

A toned-down version of the AK47. The damage is reduced from a 3-hit kill to a strong 4-hit kill. Recoil is reduced and goes slightly more "everywhere", and the crosshair can still get quite big. The gun also fires with a very distinct and loud crashing sound, so it is hard to be stealthy without a silencer.

Overall, the AK74U is a intermediate balance of the stats, skewed more toward power, and it can be attached with all mods.

Kalashnikov AK103 (Supply Case)

Damage 45
Accuracy 98
Fire Rate 60
Portability 45
Recoil U-S-E 26-4-15
Crosshair 1-6
Ammo 30/90
Reload 5
Firing Modes Auto / Burst
Price Varies

File:CA AK103.jpg

Common Name: AK103

This is an improvement on the AK47 that could take you lots of GP to get from a supply case. On the other hand, you could get lucky and receive an AK103 on the first try. Basically, this gun is the same as the AK47, but with drastically reduced recoil.

The AK103 is also capable of burst-fire. Since the gun is a three-shot kill anyways, if you use burst mode and aim well, you can kill people with one click of the mouse.

FN MK16 SCAR-L

Damage 27
Accuracy 95
Fire Rate 65
Portability 50
Recoil U-S-E 4-7-2
Crosshair 1-5
Ammo 30/90
Reload 7
Firing Modes Auto / Burst
Price 800

File:CA SCAR-L.jpg

Common Name: SCAR

Similar to the M4A1, this yellow and slightly strange looking gun is low on recoil. It still has hardly any up recoil, but it does have noticeable side recoil. It is a weak four shot kill, only ever so slightly stronger than the M4A1, but every other stat is a fair balance.

This is also one of the few guns capable of burst fire. The SCAR-L can be fitted with all mods. Adding a scope will negate its side recoil.

FN MK16 SCAR-L Black

Damage 27
Accuracy 95
Fire Rate 65
Portability 50
Recoil U-S-E 4-7-2
Crosshair 1-5
Ammo 30/90

Price 800

File:CA SCAR-L-Black.jpg

Common Name: Black SCAR

There is absolutely no difference between this gun and the yellow SCAR, besides that it is black. Absolutely no difference.

HK G36E

Damage 33
Accuracy 98
Fire Rate 63
Portability 50
Recoil U-S-E 19-5-37
Crosshair 1-7
Ammo 30/90
Reload 6
Firing Modes Auto
Price 950

File:CA G36E.jpg

Common Name: G36

This is a toned down, more balanced version of the AK47. It deals the strongest four-hit kill and has very high accuracy. However, like the AK47, the G36E lacks in firing rate and portability. The strange recoil pattern causes the gun to kick everywhere, making it difficult to handle.

The G36E costs an extra 150 GP than the other assault rifles because it has a built-in scope. This scope has the range of a sniper rifle, which makes the G36E also useful for longe-range sniping. When using the gun in this manner, you must fire single shots, or else the recoil makes it useless. The G36E can accomodate all modifications except new scopes.

Steyr AUG-A1

Damage 30
Accuracy 94
Fire Rate 71
Portability 51
Recoil U-S-E 19-7-25
Crosshair 1-7
Ammo 30/90
Reload 8
Firing Modes Auto / Burst
Price 950

File:CA AUG-A1.jpg

Common Name: AUG

The AUG-A1 is a four-shot kill and has a very high rate of fire for an assault rifle. The AUG is similar to the G36E in that it also costs an extra 150 GP because it comes with an attached scope, and this scope has the range of a sniper rifle. The AUG also recoils more slightly more everywhere than it does up. Also worth mentioning is that the AUG is the fastest reloading assault rifle.

Because the AUG isn't as accurate as the G36E, the scope isn't as good for sniping as it is for medium range combat. When using the scope and single-shotting, the strong recoil is negated and it will only kick straight up, making the AUG's scope easy to manage. The AUG is capable of burst fire and can be fitted with a suppressor or magazine mod.

Daewoo K2

Damage 28
Accuracy 97
Fire Rate 76
Portability 57
Recoil U-S-E 23-5-17
Crosshair 1-6
Ammo 30/90
Reload 8
Firing Modes Auto / Burst / Semi-Auto
Price 800

File:CA K2.jpg

Common Name: K2

Not a commonly seen gun, the K2 sports the highest rate of fire out of all the assault rifles, tied with the FAMAS. It is also very accurate, beaten in the stat only by the AK47 and G36E.

The interesting thing about the K2 is that it can fire in all three modes: Auto, Burst, and Single. While most people that use the K2 will set it to Auto, using Semi-Auto or Burst will can be very ammo-conserving and powerful. Using Single fire brings out the accuracy and makes the recoil meaningless.

MAS FAMAS

Damage 26

Fire Rate 74
Portability 62
Recoil U-S-E 21-5-16
Crosshair 1-6
Ammo 30/90

Price 800

File:CA FAMAS.jpg

Common Name: FAMAS

This bullpup model gun is the weakest four-shot kill. To compensate for the power, the FAMAS features high accuracy, fair recoil, and the highest firing rate out of all the assault rifles.

The FAMAS fires with an extremely distinctive popping sound, so unless you use a suppressor, everyone will know that you are using the FAMAS. Using a scope mod drastically reduces the recoil on this gun and makes it good for medium-range sniping.

US M14

Damage 53
Accuracy 98
Fire Rate 48
Portability 53
Recoil U-S-E 38-3-23
Crosshair 1-4
Ammo 30/90

Firing Modes Auto / Semi-Auto
Price 1000

File:CA M14.jpg

Common Name: M14

The M14 assault rifle is a strange gun, because it is more like a hybrid between an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. It is stronger than the AK47, capable of a two-shot kill, and extremely accurate. However, it fires extremely slowly, making this gun a great way to get yourself killed in close combat.

The M14 can fire on automatic or semi-auto. Most people do not use the automatic mode because the gun features strong recoil for every shot. Using the semi-auto mode comletely eliminates the recoil, keeps the crosshair small, making this gun perfect for mid-range sniping. This gun's uniqueness comes with a high price.

SIG SG 550

Damage 25
Accuracy 98
Fire Rate 76
Portability 40
Recoil U-S-E 1-3-4
Crosshair 1-3
Ammo 30/90
Reload 4
Firing Modes Auto
Price 1000

File:CA SG550.jpg

Common Name: SG

This unique assault rifle features extreme accuracy, a high rate of fire, and literally insignificant recoil. The crosshair doesn't get very big either. However, it is a weak four shot kill at maximum, and any distance makes it a five hit kill. The gun is also the least portable assault rifle, so don't expect to be getting anywhere quickly.

Submachine Guns

A submachine gun, often abbreviated to SMG, is basically an assault rifle that sacrifices power and accuracy for a high firing rate and portability. Submachine guns also tend to have less recoil, a smaller range of crosshair size, and a fast reload. A variety of submachine guns are available for your spraying needs.

The recoil pattern of submachine guns differs from that of assault rifles. Submachine guns all have barely noticeable everywhere recoil, but instead, they kick straight up, and then start rocking side to side after a while.

HK MP5A4

Damage 25
Accuracy 91
Fire Rate 87
Portability 79
Recoil U-S-E 12-10-1
Crosshair 3-5
Ammo 30/90
Reload 8
Firing Modes Auto
Price 800

Common Name: MP5

This balanced and fairly low recoil submachine gun is one of the most popular. Still strong enough for a four-shot kill, the MP5A4 has easily controllable recoil and a decent spraying rate. A scope can be attached to this weapon, making mid-range shots still possible. All the other mods can be attached too, although a suppressor doesn't make much difference.

HK MP5 RAS (Supply Case)

Damage 25
Accuracy 91
Fire Rate 87
Portability 83
Recoil U-S-E 3-5-1
Crosshair 3-5
Ammo 30/90
Reload 8
Firing Modes Auto / Burst
Price Varies

Common Name: MP5 RAS

A Supply Case upgrade on the MP5A4, the MP5 RAS is exactly the same, except that the recoil is dramatically reduced, and it is slightly more portable. Just like the M4A1 CQBR and AK103, this gun is not balanced, it is above average. And therefore this gun might cost you a lot of GP to finally get from a case. On the other hand, you could get lucky and receive the MP5 RAS for 90 days on the first try.

The MP5 RAS can accommodate all modifications and can burst-fire also.

HK UMP

Damage 29
Accuracy 89
Fire Rate 78
Portability 80
Recoil U-S-E 16-7-4
Crosshair 2-6
Ammo 35/105
Reload 7
Firing Modes Auto
Price 850

Common Name: UMP

This submachine gun is the most similar to an assault rifle. It has high damage for a four-shot kill and a high portability, and this is counterbalanced by slow firing and inaccuracy. For unknown reasons, the UMP has a larger clip and more ammo than most of the other guns, and this is possibly why it costs slightly more.

The UMP can be fitted with all the modifications. The gunshot sound of the UMP is distinctive and actually found annoying by many players, so using a suppressor may help you avoid detection.

Daewoo K1A

Damage 28
Accuracy 94
Fire Rate 80
Portability 76
Recoil U-S-E 22-10-6
Crosshair 2-6
Ammo 30/90
Reload 7
Firing Modes Auto
Price 800

Common Name: K1

Like the UMP, the K1A is a submachine gun that also possesses traits of an assault rifle. The K1A is the most accurate out of all the submachine guns, but has relatively hefty recoil to counter this. It has high damage capable of a four-shot kill, but a slow spray rate. Therefore the K1A can be attached with a scope and used for mid-range combat in addition to close-range spraying.

Daewoo K7

Damage 22
Accuracy 87
Fire Rate 95
Portability 90
Recoil U-S-E 23-19-0
Crosshair 4-5
Ammo 30/90
Reload 9
Firing Modes Auto
Price 850

Common Name: K7

The K7 is a great example of a submachine gun built for spraying. The very high rate of fire combined with high portability allows you to get in your opponent's face and fill them up with lead before they can even react. This is counterbalanced by a five-shot kill.

What people find difficult about the K7 is its strange recoil. There is absolutely no everywhere recoil. When you start firing, the K7 will immediately kick straight up, and then afterwards rock heavily side-to-side. When the side-recoil starts, you should just let go of your mouse button and then spray again.

The K7 has a suppressor built into its design that can not be removed, which is why it costs just a bit more. You can still add a scope or magazine mod, though.

IMI UZI

Damage 20
Accuracy 86
Fire Rate 106
Portability 95
Recoil U-S-E 16-16-1
Crosshair 4-5
Ammo 30/90
Reload 10
Firing Modes Auto
Price 700

Common Name: UZI

The UZI is basically the "fastest" gun. Featuring the fastest firing rate out of any weapon in Combat Arms, it deals the weakest damage per shot for a five-shot kill. On a person wearing protective gear like a Heavy Vest, it will be a six-shot kill. The UZI also has the highest portability, so you will run very fast with it, and it is also has the fastest reload.

The recoil of the UZI goes straight up, and then side-to-side. This gun costs less than the others because you can't put a scope on it. It can still be fitted with a suppressor (reduces damage to a six-shot kill) and a magazine mod.

Ingram MAC-10

Damage 24
Accuracy 85
Fire Rate 105
Portability 93
Recoil U-S-E 24-5-10
Crosshair 4-6
Ammo 30/90
Reload 9
Firing Modes Auto
Price 800

Common Name: MAC-10

The MAC-10 is just like an UZI, but with stronger damage and recoil. It is quite inaccurate compared to the other guns, but makes up for it with a fire rate just about as fast as the UZI's. The recoil pattern is different - the MAC-10's goes a bit more everywhere.

The MAC-10 is explicitly for close combat, a sure way to kill somebody with it is to get right up in their face. The recoil and inaccuracy will almost ensure that you lose every fight at medium-range and farther. The MAC-10 can be fitted with all mods.

FN P90

Damage 29
Accuracy 91
Fire Rate 91
Portability 92
Recoil U-S-E 20-6-14
Crosshair 3-7
Ammo 50/50
Reload 9
Firing Modes Auto
Price 1100

Common Name: P90

This very strange looking gun is quite good, but lacking in several areas. The damage is a good four-hit kill, and the accuracy and portability are balanced and rather high compared to some other submachine guns. It also reloads very quickly. The P90 comes with a built-in reflex scope, which is very small, barely gives any magnification, and provides you with a small red dot for aiming.

The P90 has a slightly annoying recoil. First, it sort of goes everywhere, and then the side-to-side rocking begins quicker than it does with the other guns. Looking through the reflex scope gets rid of it.

The main complaint about the P90 is that it doesn't have enough ammo. Although it has an extremely large clip size, there is only 100 pieces of ammo total, while the other guns have at least 120. This gun's uniqueness and built-in scope causes it to cost you more GP than do the other guns.

Machine Guns

There are not many avid machine gun users in Combat Arms, but these beasts still have their upsides. Machine guns are basically assault rifles that are modified for spraying. They sacrifice portability and accuracy for huge amounts of ammo, making it so that you can spray for a long time and not have to reload.

Machine guns can only be fitted with magazine mods. When you do have to reload a machine gun, it takes a very long time.

US M60

Damage 45
Accuracy 72
Fire Rate 65
Portability 24
Recoil U-S-E 33-10-23
Crosshair 4-9
Ammo 100/300
Reload 2
Firing Modes Auto
Price 950

Common Name: M60

The M60 is the least accurate and least portable weapon existing in Combat Arms. However, it has very high power, capable of a three-shot kill, and even if your enemy gets away, they will be left mortally damaged. The fire rate is fair for a machine gun, but the recoil should be handled carefully.

FN MINIMI

Damage 33
Accuracy 75
Fire Rate 78
Portability 28
Recoil U-S-E 19-9-24
Crosshair 1-7
Ammo 100/300
Reload 2
Firing Modes Auto
Price 950

Common Name: MINIMI

This weaker four-shot kill machine gun has the longest effective range, meaning that you won't necessarily lose all medium-range fights like you would with an MK48 or M60. The recoil is reduced and it is relatively portable and accurate for a machine gun.

FN MK48

Damage 48
Accuracy 76
Fire Rate 60
Portability 26
Recoil U-S-E 41-13-24
Crosshair 4-9
Ammo 100/300
Reload 2
Firing Modes Auto
Price 1050

Common Name: MK48

This machine gun boasts the highest damage out of all the primary weapons, excluding sniper rifles. It also has the highest recoil - just ten shots on full auto and you would already be shooting forty-five degrees higher than you previously were. The recoil can be controlled by pulling down on your mouse, and someone who is skilled can get lots of multiple kills with the MK48 due to its high power.

Daewoo K3

Damage 30
Accuracy 73
Fire Rate 79
Portability 30
Recoil U-S-E 33-12-21
Crosshair 4-9
Ammo 100/300
Reload 3
Firing Modes Auto
Price 1050

Common Name: K3

The K3 is the fastest-firing and most portable machine gun, behaving almost the same as an assault rifle but sacrificing accuracy for lots of ammo. The K3 is the weakest machine gun, but it is still a four-shot kill. The recoil is average for a machine gun.

Daewoo K3 SPW (Supply Case)

Damage 30
Accuracy 73
Fire Rate 79
Portability 57
Recoil U-S-E 33-12-21
Crosshair 4-9
Ammo 100/300
Reload 3
Firing Modes Auto
Price Varies

Common Name: K3 SPW

The only difference between this supply case upgrade of the K3 and the K3 itself is that the K3 SPW is much more portable. You can actually go around and spray this machine gun without being slowed down by it to the pace of a snail. However, besides the portability, there is no difference at all.

Sniper Rifles

Sniper rifles are guns specifically made to kill enemies from a far range. They deal extreme amounts of damage per shot, fire slowly, and have a built-in scope of huge magnification. Snipers are very clumsy and difficult to aim with at a close range. This is because you must be using the scope for the gun to have accuracy.

When unscoped, sniper rifles have no crosshair to mark the center of your screen, and the accuracy is worse than that of a machine gun. Note that although the numerical difference in accuracy of sniper rifles seems insignificant, but it really is, because you are dealing with such far ranges.

All sniper rifles can be fitted with a suppressor (except the SR25 and its supply case counterpart) or a magazine mod.

US M24

Damage 92
Accuracy 100
Fire Rate 23
Portability 43
Recoil U-S-E N/A
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 7/35
Reload 7
Firing Modes Bolt-Action
Price 1100

Common Name: M24

This is not a commonly used sniper, because although it is bolt-action (you must leave the scope after each shot to work the bolt, massively slowing down firing rate), it takes two shots to kill. The M24 specializes in accuracy - 100% accuracy, so as long as you aimed well, you will never miss a shot. If you miss, it is your fault, not the gun's.

Because you leave the scope after each shot, recoil does not affect this weapon at all. The M24 is also more portable than the other sniper rifles. It has a weird clip size of 7, so you might leave somebody half-dead while reloading.

US M24 Woodland

Damage 92
Accuracy 100
Fire Rate 23
Portability 43
Recoil U-S-E N/A
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 7/35
Reload 7
Firing Modes Bolt-Action
Price 1200

Common Name: M24 Woodland

Exactly the same as the M24, but with a woodland camo skin. There is absolutely no difference in the gun performance. As for why you would need to pay an extra 100 GP for no improvement on the original gun, nobody really knows.

Stoner SR25

Damage 72
Accuracy 99.9
Fire Rate 38
Portability 40
Recoil U-S-E 12-0-2
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 10/30
Reload 7
Firing Modes Semi-Auto
Price 1100

Common Name: SR

This semi-auto sniper rifle has the weakest damage but also the fastest fire (besides its supply case variant). The accuracy deviates slightly from perfect, but it is still good. The SR25 has a built-in silencer that you can't really see, but it exists, and your shots aren't loud.

Low recoil makes it easy to take shot after shot, although whenever using a semi-auto rifle you should still aim carefully and try to not use more than two bullets for a kill. There is not a lot of ammo to waste.

Stoner SR25 Sandfire (Supply Case)

Damage 72
Accuracy 99.9
Fire Rate 44
Portability 40
Recoil U-S-E 12-0-2
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 10/30
Reload 7
Firing Modes Semi-Auto
Price Varies

Common Name: SR Sandfire

This upgrade on the SR25 simply makes it shoot faster. This gun could take you lots of money to get from a supply case, or it could take you just one try. The fast firing rate tempts people to spray the shots, but you should still aim carefully to conserve ammo.

HK MSG90

Damage 88
Accuracy 99.9
Fire Rate 31
Portability 38
Recoil U-S-E 15-0-4
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 10/30
Reload 7
Firing Modes Semi-Auto
Price 1200

Common Name: MSG

The MSG-90 is almost the exact same as the SR25, but it features more damage per shot (still a two-shot kill though), a slower firing rate, and more recoil. Other than a balance tweak on those three statistics, everything else is pretty much the same, with the high accuracy and such.

Dragunov SVD

Damage 97
Accuracy 99.8
Fire Rate 26
Portability 37
Recoil U-S-E 19-0-6
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 10/30
Reload 6
Firing Modes Semi-Auto
Price 1400

Common Name: SVD

The Dragunov SVD sniper rifle is a further tweak on the stats of the SR25. While the MSG-90 is like an SR25 with more damage, slower fire, and more recoil, the SVD is an MSG-90 with the same things.

While still taking two shots to kill, one shot with the SVD will leave any enemy so mortally wounded that one more shot from any of your teammates could finish him or her off. The scope is slightly different from the rest - the point of the top chevron marks the center.

Accuracy is slightly lower, but it shouldn't pose much of a problem. Unsuppressed SVD shots are incredibly loud.

AI L96A1

Damage 112
Accuracy 99.5
Fire Rate 13
Portability 35
Recoil U-S-E N/A
Crosshair N/A
Ammo 5/15
Reload 5
Firing Modes Bolt-Action
Price 1400

Common Name: L9

This is the most inaccurate and least portable sniper. It also has the slowest firing rate. Yet this is the most popularly used sniper because of one thing: its ridiculously powerful one-hit kill. The power is over 100, making even legshots a one-hit kill.

Because it is bolt-action, recoil does not affect this gun. The bolt takes much longer to work than does the M24's bolt, the L96A1 also takes longer to scope. The L96A1's shots are very loud without using a suppressor.

This sniper's poor accuracy can be noticed when you try to snipe somebody who is partially concealed from view, such as when someone camps behind one of the U-shaped barriers in Snow Valley with only their head showing. You could take five well-aimed shots at that head and still not hit it. Still, the beastly power makes this a common choice for both beginning and expert snipers.

AI L96A1 Ghillie (Supply Case)

Damage 112

Common Name: L9 Ghillie

This Supply Case upgrade on the L96A1 differs only in that it is covered in green grass for camouflage, and that it comes with a suppressor. This suppressor is exactly the same as the S1 suppressor which you can buy from the Modification shop for just 100 GP.

The L9 Ghillie seems to scope and fire a bit faster than the standard L9, but this might not be worth the money of trying to get it from a supply case.
