"Mario Party 2" follows up on the success of "Mario Party" expanding more minigames and more ways of winning the game. This is the second of the "Mario Party" games which follows a set formula in a different vein to "Monopoly". The most prominent is moving the control in a circular motion which is done in one of "Mario Party" minigames has been ditch in favor of more button mashing instead. Also, it's the first time that items is used in the game, although you can use it one at a time.
Even though it's only available for Nintendo 64, it's now also available for Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.
