For the 1999 PlayStation game, see Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage.

Following Samurai Shodown 64, Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage, also known in Japan as Samurai Spirits 2 64: Asure Zanmaden is an upgraded version of the previous game released in 1998 again only for Hyper Neo Geo 64 arcade boards as one of the last games of the arcade board of SNK, upgrades including gameplay, graphics, sound, and music are all here.

In addition to Shiki, Asura and Taizan Morozumi were newcomers included to the rooster, the combo system from the first game was built upon, offering some pretty cool combo possibilities this time around.

Sadly, the game never received its original ports and also never left Japan, which is very rare to find, again, thanks to the YouTube videos, it was more known by Samurai Shodown/Spirits fans.

A 2D chibi demake was released to the Neo Geo Pocket Color as Samurai Shodown! 2.
