=== Suggested teams ===
=== Suggested parties ===
The teams suggested in the walkthrough allow to use all the jobs in the same game. Players who want to get items from the Legendary Smith should instead stick to four jobs.
The parties suggested in the walkthrough allow you to use all of the jobs in the one playthrough. There may be better party compositions than are listed, and you may personally like one job over another. Consider these parties as suggestions only if you're not sure what to use, or the party you're using isn't working against a boss.

If you want to get powerful weapons later in the game, you should either stick to using the same party composition throughout the entire game, or commit to some mindless grinding. These special weapons are only available if you have attained job level 99 in a job.

Some walkthroughs suggest teams with many identical jobs, but that can make some parts of the game a bit monotonous (especially near the end). Other walkthroughs <!-- Cidolfas' walkthrough for the NES --> suggest to stick to the jobs already found in [[Final Fantasy 1]] and avoid the new ones, but that would definitely make the game monotonous. Here we choose maximum variability.

Conventions Used[edit]

  • All characters, villains, areas etc. are referred to by their names in the DS remake.

Suggested parties[edit]

The parties suggested in the walkthrough allow you to use all of the jobs in the one playthrough. There may be better party compositions than are listed, and you may personally like one job over another. Consider these parties as suggestions only if you're not sure what to use, or the party you're using isn't working against a boss.

If you want to get powerful weapons later in the game, you should either stick to using the same party composition throughout the entire game, or commit to some mindless grinding. These special weapons are only available if you have attained job level 99 in a job.
