Godzilla: Unleashed takes place 20 years after the previous game, when a meteor hits the Earth sending crystals that devistate the world. Later, the Vortaak aliens and Vorticia decide to steal the crystals instead of repearing the ship. The G.D.F. decide to stop the crystals destruction of the world. The Earth Defenders, angry at the climate mess up, decide to destroy the crystals and return Earth to normal. The rest depends on what you do. As an Alien, you take over the Earth, as a Mutant, you become the most powerful Kaiju, as the G.D.F. you save the cities, and as the Earth Defenders, you destroy the crystals.
