Level 7-1[edit]

You can clear your way with Beam, but you need Fireball to destroy the last blocks

At the beginning of the level you have the possibility to acquire the Laser skill. Acquire it to easily eliminate all enemies along the path by bouncing it off inclined surfaces. Just before the door it will also allow you to take a 1-Up. In the next area you have to fight your way along a path of star blocks. Shortly after starting, you have the opportunity to acquire the Fire or Spark skill, which will allow you to proceed more quickly. Continuing, you have the opportunity to take a Pep Drink. However, there is a secret in this area: some of the blue blocks that border the path are actually destructible. Just below where you find a Flamer, you can destroy the blocks on the floor, using Spark or a slide attack. You will thus be able to reach a compartment in which there is a Waddle Doo, from which you can acquire the Beam skill. At this point, continue along the path. When you get to a point where three Waddle Dee are, using this ability you can progressively work your way up and then proceed to the right. You will thus notice two doors: one at the top and one at the bottom. If you want to find the switch you have to reach the upper one, while taking the lower one you will proceed normally. However, the last two blue blocks before the door cannot be destroyed by Beam (you can destroy the three blocks over the lower door, but it doesn't help). The only way to destroy them is to go back and acquire the Fireball skill from the appropriate enemy on the spot. You will then be able to reach the upper door; upon entering you will find a switch that will make a Crane Fever minigame appear on the world map. Then enter the door. Smash the three blocks below you with a slide and enter the lower door. The last area is very easy and straightforward. Vacuum the star blocks under the Shotzos to make them fall and head to the exit door at the bottom.

Level 7-2[edit]

This is a very particular level, since it consists practically only of mini-bosses. You will have to climb a tower similar to the one you saw in the third world, facing one battle after another. As you enter, you will face the first miniboss, Poppy Bros Sr. After defeating him, acquire the Crash ability and climb the stairs. You will meet Mr, Tick Tock: with your skill you will defeat him in an instant and you can acquire the Mike skill. Continue up to meet Frosty. Use Mike three times to easily defeat him and continue on. The next miniboss to face is Bonkers. Fight him as you have already done. Then it will be the turn of Shelatoss. Nothing new. Climb up again to meet Bugzzy. After defeating him you can reach the last miniboss: Fire Lion. Once this battle is won, you will finally reach the top of the tower. Fly up to find a Warp Star. The star will lead you to a very short final screen, where before the exit door you will find a Maxim Tomato to restore energy.

Level 7-3[edit]

The first area is very linear. You will basically only encounter slow and sleepy enemies. In the next area, you'll have to climb upwards, following narrow passages between diamond-shaped platforms. Some enemies will throw cutters at you, but that shouldn't bother you. At the top is a Maxim Tomato. In the third area, Meta Knight will initially throw a Candy at you. Thanks to it, you will be able to overcome this area in a flash. Just be careful not to fall to the bottom and icy surfaces. Even in the last area there are no big surprises: proceed to the right avoiding the Shotzos and the parasols, until you reach the exit door. Definitely monotonous, as a level.

Level 7-4[edit]

Proceed right. The first area is very linear, although you will encounter many enemies. Enter the door. You will now find yourself in a room that you have to go through, until you reach the door, avoiding four Bubbles. You will enter a similar room; here however are four Bounders. The next room is also similar, although you will encounter four Bronto Burts here. Finally, you'll enter a room with four Flamers. In the last area, you have to proceed by detonating bomb blocks to clear your way and avoiding Gordos that move vertically in narrow passages. Each time you detonate a bomb block you will free an enemy, but proceeding shouldn't be difficult. At the bottom is the exit door.

Level 7-5[edit]

Reaching the cannon in time is really difficult because of the steps

In this level there is a hidden area extremely difficult to reach, via a cannon. Fortunately, it is not necessary to reach it to complete the game 100% and therefore it is probably not worth it. However, there are two ways to get yourself fired from the cannon: using the Crash ability (very difficult to get through the level, but easy to reach the cannon after lighting the fuse) or using Fireball (easy to complete the level, but almost impossible to reach the cannon in time).

In the first area you will encounter a lot of Bombers that will fall from above. Keep your distance when they explode, or suck them in before they crash, to acquire the Crash ability and take out more. However, if you want to use the first method to light the fuse, you must exit this area with the Crash skill. You have then to face a mini-boss: Grand Wheelie. In itself it is nothing complicated (indeed, using the Crash ability you can eliminate it in an instant), but if you want to keep the special ability, things get quite complicated. When the miniboss attacks you by throwing a Wheelie, you must drop the special ability, quickly suck up the minor enemy and shoot it at the miniboss, then suck up the star and acquire the Crash ability again, before it disappears. After defeating Grand Wheelie, enter the door. The next area is very particular: at regular intervals you will find black backgrounds with stars, in ascending or descending formation, which will push you up or down respectively. You must therefore cross them carefully, making sure you don't fall into the void and avoiding the enemies that are between one black stripe and another, especially if you want to keep the special ability. In a couple of places there are two enemies with special powers close together, which if inhaled together, would give you (with a lot of luck) the Crash ability, but inhaling them together is very difficult. If you want to use the second method, to get fired from the cannon, you must remember to acquire the Fireball skill here instead. On the next screen, after a few steps you will finally find the cannon. There is also a Pep Drink nearby. If you have the Crash skill, make the fuse just visible, near the left edge of the screen, and attack, to light it. Getting to the cannon before it fires won't be difficult. If, on the other hand, you have Fireball, you must perform perfect moves. Light the fuse and use your skill to quickly move right. The steps along the way make the process extremely difficult. However, if you manage to get shot by the cannon, you'll find five 1-Ups. Take them and enter the door to go back. The exit door is immediately to the right of the cannon.

Level 7-6[edit]

Enter under the moon to reach the last switch

Oddly, the last level of the game is easy, linear and captivating. Apart from the main character, it is entirely in black and white and you will revisit different settings already seen in the previous worlds. In the first three areas you simply have to proceed to the right until you reach the next area, defeating simple enemies. In the fourth area, before the door you can find a Maxim Tomato and a 1-Up. On the fifth area, nothing to say. The sixth area is a simple maze where you can also find a Pep Drink and another Maxim Tomato. In the next area you have to fly through the clouds, avoiding or killing some Scarfies that will appear in front of you. Finally, in the last area, after a short climb, you can reach the last switch of the game, which is really well hidden. Instead of entering the exit door, go exactly under the moon and press Up dpad to enter a hidden door. You will find a 1-Up, a Maxim Tomato and a switch that, when pressed, will make the Warp Star Room appear on the world map. Enter the door to go back and take the exit door to complete the last level.

At this point, you can face King Dedede and the final fights of the game. However, if you want to complete the game 100% and you still have some brown doors on the world maps, this is the time to find all the switches that have not yet activated.

Boss – King Dedede[edit]

King Dedede and the Fountain of Dreams

You will face the one who apparently is the cause of all the problems in Dreamland right in front of the Fountain of Dreams. King Dedede has many attacks and can replicate some of your moves as well. He is in fact able to inflate and fly around the screen and also to inhale and shoot you from his mouth. Sometimes he will come running towards you, leaping forward when he gets close to you. Other times he will brandish a hammer with which he will try to hit you. In these cases, after avoiding the attack, you can inhale the star it releases, to shoot it at the boss. King Dedede can also take a big leap and crash to the ground; also in these cases he will make appear two stars that you can use to attack him. The general advice is to keep as far away as possible, while remaining ready to approach when he uses one of the attacks described above, to suck up the stars. In addition to the normal attack, you can use a skill acquired by an enemy: at this point you can choose the one you are comfortable with. Defeat King Dedede to recover the last piece of the Star Rod.
