Prerequisites

Premise: this is the final mission of the game and completing it you will end the game, so you should only undertake it after completing all the other missions you want to tackle.

Place the Mana Tree on the world map (if you haven't already done so) and go there. It is definitely advisable to bring an NPC and a pet/golem with you. Since this is the final mission, choose the ones you feel best with. Follow the path and soon you’ll meet Pokiehl. The wise man will greet you and the final adventure will officially start. Climb up the root of the tree, and enter inside the trunk.

Go to the right and enter the hole to return outside. There is a chest with a Magical Meat here. Proceed. In the next screen there is a fork, but you can choose the path you want: they both reach the same cave. Once inside, take the exit in the upper left. Proceed to the right and go back inside the trunk. There is a chest with a Healing Claw on the right. Follow the path and return outside. Head to the right an you’ll find a chest with an Angel Feather in the next screen. Climb the branch on the right. In the next screen there is a hidden passage on the right, that leads to a chest with a Little Eye inside. Go and take the other path. From now on, the path is very linear. Proceed until you reach the Sanctuary.

What you need to do now, is search this area, defeating all the enemies you encounter. There are indeed some powerful enemies in the sanctuary screens, which are connected to each other by various paths. There also some chests in this area, containing a Knockout Dust, an Ether, a Mirror Piece and a Virgin’s Sight. Nothing difficult, the Sanctuary is quiete small. Be careful though, when you have defeated all the enemies, you will automatically be transported to a moon-lit battlefield. The Mana Goddess will appear and tell you that you must destroy her dark half. So make sure you have the right equipment. You're better off using only your most powerful weapons. You can choose whichever one you prefer, but, as with many bosses, it is advisable to use weapons with a good range. Once done, proceed to start fighting.

Being the final boss, the Mana Goddess is obviously a very though opponent. Her basic attacks already deal decent damage and she can also push your character away. However, you must try to absolutely avoid her most powerful attacks, which will be announced as always by the boss flashing for a few moments. She can fire large balls of electricity that you should avoid. If you're hit, you’ll suffer inevitably great damage. Other times she will create huge energy balls that will explode in front of her. This attack is difficult to avoid, because it affects a large part of the battlefield, so be careful. The Goddess can also perform a tornado attack that can poison you, but this one is easier to avoid. Finally, she can launch two particularly powerful and difficult to avoid attacks, when the moon below you is completely white or completely black. So try to end the fight quickly, before this happens. Between attacks, stay near the Goddess and hit her wildly with your weapons. Being smaller than other bosses, it is more difficult to hit her with bows. Use your Special Techniques whenever you have the chance. If you brought some allies with you, as recommended, it will be very useful. Luckily, even though she's the final boss, she doesn't have a longer energy bar than the others you've faced. Once you have taken away all of her life energy you will have completed the game and you will witness the final sequence. Congratulations!

Note: After watching the final sequence and the credits, you will have the option to save the game. This save will be marked with a musical note. By loading it, you will have the opportunity to restart the game from the beginning, choosing a new game area in the world. You will keep all the items (including weapons and armor), pets, golems, books and tools that you had when you completed the game. You will also already have your laboratories and all completed missions will already be noted in the Cactus Diary. This will give you the option to tackle missions you may have missed during the previous game or carry out them in another order.
