Interwiki links are links in-between wikis. These are external links, but the syntax matches that of internal links instead. All of such links have a "prefix" that you use, e.g. <nowiki>[[wikipedia:StrategyWiki]]</nowiki> would link to [[wikipedia:StrategyWiki|our StrategyWiki article on Wikipedia]]. The list of all such valid prefixes on a wiki is called the "Interwiki map."
