Tekken was the first game in the Tekken series and has been a three-dimensional fighting game from the start. Strategies for fighting are largely two-dimensional, but include the third attribute of side-stepping. This can be used to evade attacks, as well as modifying the character's attack to become different. In some cases, attacks can hit characters who have sidestepped.
