Guybrush Threepwood[edit]
This is you, the hero of the game. Guybrush, a young lad, wants nothing more than to become a pirate. Unfortunately, he may not quite be up to it. Guybrush is well meaning and has a kind heart, but he's clumsy, has no experience in the way of pirates and is apt to always say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Elaine Marley[edit]
The Governor of Melee(TM) Island. A beautiful young woman who can take care of herself quite well. She lives in a mansion on the edge of town.
LeChuck[edit]
The bad guy. He's a dead pirate, and is known throughout the Caribbean as The Ghost Pirate LeChuck. He rides the waves in his ghost ship with his ghost crew and terrorizes all. He has a past involving Governor Marley.
Stan[edit]
A used-ship salesman, always eager to make the right sale to the right person (the right person being anybody, the right sale being anything).
Voodoo Lady[edit]
A mysterious lady on Melee(TM) Island who can give Guybrush advice about his future.
Herman Toothrot[edit]
Herman has been a castaway on the fabled Monkey Island for many years and is awaiting rescue... he may not be all right in the head after all this time.
