Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello DARogers! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:22, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Integrating your guide info[edit]

The information you wrote up, as added at Talk:Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, should be integrated into the existing pages or used to fill new pages. Please do not create a separate page for "DARogers'" guide or that sort of thing, otherwise we will end up with an infinite number of arbitrarily named links. To keep things simple, we should split up the information and put it into the subpages with the existing info (e.g. faction info should be integrated into Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri/Factions). Let us know if you have any questions. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:29, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

I will block you from editing, temporarily if you continue to try to add a link straight to the information dump. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:31, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
No worries; I just thought you were being stubborn/crazy about the link. Anyways, technically it IS published in full at the talk page, but our guides are broken down into their respective topic pages for organization's sake. If you don't do it, someone else may. Thanks for adding your stuff here, anyways. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:03, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
I don't understand. You say you can't break your guide up, but it's already broken up into sections of your own making. You can't take ten minutes and just find ways to break things up and put them into appropriate pages? How hard could that be? It's not like you're not allowed to add more links into the Table of Contents if you feel that there's a section missing from it. Procyon 02:42, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
All you have to do is add a header (e.g. ==Header text==) that says something like "Alternative strategy: aggressive <insert_descriptive_technique here>" that makes sense for the info you are putting in and voila - you have additional, supplementary content. Put it on the page and we can help correct the organization/layout for you. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:09, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
