Controller templates[edit]

Hi Mario-Fan. I appreciate your effort to expand the Metroid walkthrough to include expanded controller entries, but I would appreciate it, if you are going to do this, if you would do the research required to fill the template in completely. The reason being, if you're working on this, it's doubtful that someone else will come along any time soon to fill in the blanks, and I'd rather not have the guide "broken" because of missing data. There must be some resource on the net, including Nintendo's virtual console site itself, that could help you fill in the information. The button mappings are usually pretty standard too, so if it's true for one game, it's usually true for them all. In a pinch, you could also research the Japanese virtual console web sites, as that information is usually presented visually. Thanks. Procyon 19:14, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for mentioning it. I have no idea why LoZ has it and SMB2 doesn't. --Mario-Fan 19:46, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
As you know, people contribute to wikis on a very voluntary basis. So while someone may have felt motivated to include them on LoZ, that same person may not have known if they were present or not for SMB2, or more likely simply had no desire to check. We appreciate people like yourself who go through the guides to ensure this kind of completeness. I am obviously guilty of never including controller templates at all, simply because I'm more concerned with establishing the guide framework. Procyon 20:18, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
