Wario has some valuable options available that allow him to get around this chasm of the Awazon. Once you get these under your belt, you shouldn't have a problem getting around.

Move Name Description
Move Pushing left or right on the Left Control Pad will make Wario move that direction. Now you're getting somewhere!
Run While moving, hold down the L or R Buttons to start running. This will help you get around faster.
Jump Pressing the A Button will allow Wario to hop into the air. Holding down the button will make him jump higher. Combining this with left or right on the Left Control Pad will allow Wario to jump over things! If you hold L or R before jumping, Wario will jump much further.
Body Slam If you are in the air, whether it be from jumping or falling off a platform, holding Down on the Left Control Pad will let Wario perform a Body Slam. This will take out weaker enemies easily.
Duck Press and hold Down on the Left Control Pad to duck. You can start crawling by holding Down and Right or Down and Left on the Left Control Pad.
Swim In the water, you can press A to swim towards the surface. You can also use the Left Control Pad to move in any direction you want.
Stomp Jumping on top of an enemy will stun them, but be careful! Some enemies have spikes that will hurt Wario if he tries to stomp on them.
Carry and Toss Touching a stunned enemy will allow Wario to pick them up. Wario can then throw the enemy by pressing the B Button.
Barge Holding B will make Wario enter a stance. Pressing Left or Right on the Left Control Pad will make Wario barge in that direction. If you are already moving, you can simply press B to barge. This move is useful against enemies and blocks.
Jump Attack While you are moving, pressing B and then pressing A before the barge ends allows Wario to jump and barge at the same time. This can be used to take down flying enemies or blocks above him.
