Party

Protagonist

The protagonist can be assigned one of the thirteen starting elements at the beginning of the game, but can learn spells from other elements via Communication. They used to live in a town on the fringes of Kovomaka Kingdom, but were shunned by the townsfolk when they were seen conversing with spirits. Luckily, Biscotti invited the protagonist to enroll in Will-o'-Wisp Academy with the promise of befriending even more spirits.

The protagonist's stat growth depends on their chosen gender; the hero excels in HP, power, and defense, while the heroine is adept in MP, agility, and spirit (magic defense).

Kirsche Pintail

Kirsche Pintail (キルシュ・ピンテール Kirushu Pintēru?) is a user of the fire spirit Toast, whose stats are well-rounded with a preference for power. His spells have high base strength and cover various areas of effect. He is a reckless and quick-tempered 15-year-old, as well as Arancia Scorenote's childhood friend. Despite promising to marry Arancia when they were young, Kirsche's has since developed a major crush on Candy Mintblue. He is often seen hanging out with Sesame Ashpot.

His name comes from kirsche, meaning "cherry" in German.

Candy Mintblue

Candy Mintblue (キャンディ・ミントブルー Kyandi Mintoburū?) is a user of the wind spirit Air, possessing outstanding MP, agility, and MP%. She can use magic with various area coverage, and her "mach line" spell greatly boosts an ally's agility. Candy is a talkative and studious 13-year-old girl. When she was young, magicians arrived in her hometown to eradicate a swarm of trolls, which inspired her to become a sorceress. She later met Ganache Nighthawk at Will-o'-Wisp Academy and immediately fell in love, though Ganache does not reciprocate those feelings.

Cabernet Cheaptrick

Cabernet Cheaptrick (カベルネ・チープトリック Kaberune Chīputorikku?) is a user of the poison spirit Boo, with balanced stat growth all around. Although his spells are weaker in strength, they can inflict extra damage by applying the poison ailment. He is a mischievous 13-year-old puppet whose older brother, Chardonnay Cheaptrick, died in battle one year ago. As a child, Cabernet was gifted a frog that taught him magic, and it currently lives in his hat. Because Chardonnay dated Vanilla Nighthawk before his passing, Cabernet befriended Ganache Nighthawk.

Cidre Rainbow

Cidre Rainbow (シードル・レインボウ Shīdoru Reinbō?) is a user of the beauty spirit Powder, possessing good HP, MP, and spirit. All his magic targets single enemies with a chance to inflict paralysis, and his "white rose" spell dispels an ally's status changes. Cidre is a 14-year-old boy with a passion for art and poetry, as well as a self-proclaimed realist. Despite being very talented, he is dismissive of other artists' works, which resulted in him getting kicked from an art gallery one time.

His name comes from cidre, meaning "cider" in French.

Cassis Lumberyard

Cassis Lumberyard (カシス・ランバーヤード Kashisu Ranbāyādo?) is a user of the blade spirit Slash, boasting excellent power and agility. His spells have incredibly high base strength, though their range is limited to the front row. However, Cassis underwent a change of heart and learned to not live in misery. He does garden work with his father's old friend, and prepares meals for his overworking mother.

His name comes from cassis, meaning "black currant" in French.

Her magic has various area coverage, and can sometimes lull enemies to sleep. Moreover, her "soul march" spell can buff an ally's spirit. Arancia is a 15-year-old girl who was born into an upper-class family of musicians, learning to play all kinds of instruments from a young age. Although she received lessons from experts, her music is oftentimes lacking in energy and makes people tired. She likes taking things at her own pace.

Her name comes from arancia, meaning "orange" in Italian.

Chocolat Cracks

Chocolat Cracks (ショコラ・クラックス Shokora Kurakkusu?) is a user of the stone spirit Flint, with great HP, power, and defense. Sesame Ashpot

Sesame Ashpot (セサミ・アッシュポット Sesami Asshupotto?) is a user of the insect spirit Buzz, specializing in agility and spirit. His spells are all single-target, with the added effect of reducing enemies' physical power. Pistachio Maplewood

Pistachio Maplewood (ピスタチオ・メイプルウッド Pisutachio Meipuruuddo?) is a user of the wood spirit Stick, and despite his lackluster stats apart from agility, he becomes incredibly powerful later on. His spells cover single and square areas, able to cut down enemies' spirit. Pistachio is a 12-year-old wolks who struggles with his studies at the academy. He is quick to panic in the face of danger, but does what he can to impress his friends.

Olive Tearclown

Olive Tearclown (オリーブ・ティアクラウン Orību Tiakuraun?) is a user of the beast spirit Growl, boasting mostly balanced stats with a bias towards power. Her magic is quite varied, in that "lion power" can buff an ally's power, and "everyone's power" drains all allies' MP to inflict equal damage to all enemies. Olive is an 11-year-old girl born with heart-reading powers, though one particular heart-reading incident resulted in her becoming a shut-in. Biscotti visited Olive in a dream, inviting her to enroll at Will-o'-Wisp to conquer her fears. She is close with Ganache Nighthawk, as her powers allow her to empathize with his sadness.

Blueberry Lakeside

Blueberry Lakeside (ブルーベリー・レイクサイド Burūberī Reikusaido?) is a user of the water spirit Flow, excelling in MP and spirit. The range of her magic is mostly horizontal, and can break through enemies' defense. Blueberry is a 15-year-old girl who comes from a line of aristocratic magicians with ties to the Water Plane; however, she was born with a bodily illness, and thus had to forgo her royal duties. She is best friends with Lemon Airsupply, but has not divulged her condition so as to not feel burdensome.

Lemon Airsupply

Lemon Airsupply (レモン・エアサプライ Remon Easapurai?) is a user of the thunder spirit Tesla, with a proficiency in power. Her spells cover vertical and square areas of effect, and may briefly numb enemies. She is a protective 16-year-old girl of the felin race, descended from a family of martial artists, but was forbidden from training after a bad injury. Lemon first met Blueberry Lakeside when Cabernet Cheaptrick stole her bag, to which she pummeled him and retrieved it.

Café au Lait Rustynail

Café au Lait Rustynail (カフェオレ・ラスティネイル Kafeore Rasutineiru?) is a user of the ancient spirit Clock, boasting high HP and defense. His spells vary in range and have a chance to reduce enemies' agility. He is a 12000-year-old ancient machine with a dry sense of humor, created by a bygone civilization who experimented on artificial intelligence. Following an incident, Café au Lait ended up in Garam Masala on the Dark Plane, where he was eventually discovered by dwarves and later pawned off. Principal Biscotti happened upon Café au Lait, to which he purchased him and enrolled him in Will-o'-Wisp.

His name comes from café au lait, meaning "coffee with milk" in French.

Pêche Farmer

Pêche Farmer (ペシュ・ファーマー Peshu Fāmā?) is a user of the love spirit Wish, who possesses superb MP, spirit, and MP%. She uses spells that are geared towards HP and MP recovery. Pêche is a 15-year-old love ambassador with a heart that cares for all living things, especially her friends, though she tends to be a bit scatterbrained.
