Notes

who is removing my edits from the monster notes? I spent nearly 2 hours on that. Please tell me why you are.

Well, if you check the history, it tells who did change it. I brought the old edits back, though it seems that someone else had done some editing (maybe you?). The info looks about the same after a quick glance, so im not going to bother merging. I feel the info is probably the only useful part so far, apart from the sorted stuff and the fact that everything is contained in one page (much easier to search). Oh, and to tell who you are type four tildes (~) -- Prod-You 06:21, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Remodeling

Ok I move some old notes under the monster names and also going to remodel the charts it will take a while also adding EXP on my next update. -- DarkNShadow 06:49, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

if you are just rearranging the info that is there, i can take care of that. Ill write a quick script to convert from old format to new. Of course, if you want to do it, go right ahead. However, ill do it tomorrow as im going to sleep now. -- Prod-You 09:20, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks that save me time I am really busy this week so thank you very much. -- DarkNShadow 06:05, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Well thats done. Gave me a chance to clean up a lot of the weird html symbols that were in there. Only thing left is to decide if the notes that are in the info section should stay there or are moved to the Notes section. They are essentially notes, so that would suggest putting them in the notes section, but they are also specific traits of the monster, which suggests putting them in the info section. I guess, info like [Undead] should go in the info section, and who the monster spawns/spawns from, should go in the notes section. -- Prod-You 17:07, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I made a new template stored at Template:MapleStory/Monster and converted the level 1-10 section to use it. Should i switch the rest to use it? or revert it back to the way it was before? I've got a regex saved to convert the rest of it easily. -- Prod-You 05:44, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I like it! It more easier to navigate and it does not take that much room I agree with the "switch". -- DarkNShadow 05:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Changed over. That was tedious >.<. Made it especially hard cause making a regular expression that could handle all the weird formatting and spacing. Anywayz, thats done, and should make layout and adding more info easier. Also reduced the page size by 34%. -- Prod-You 20:54, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Bosses

Something has to be done about the Bosses sections. I am sure there is going to be a lot of trouble keeping it syncronized with the main parts. I'm thinking perhaps have pictures and names for each, and a link back up to its main entry. Anyone else have suggestions/opinions? -- Prod-You 06:57, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Maybe it better just make a Boss section but not for each and every single bosses. -- DarkNShadow 07:51, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
I changed the The Ludibrium & Omega Sector Bosses section to be what i think it should look like. The links don't currently work, but they're supposed to link back to their actual entries and thats easily fixed. -- Prod-You 17:19, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
I've removed the data on the King Centipede boss-- if it's even in the game I don't know, but the amount of experience it gives is so unrealistic that it cannot possibly be true. (Giving enough experience to max out the level of over 2 septillion players at once) 24.19.241.16 00:01, 22 April 2006 (UTC) Unregistered
Apparently, the same user who filled out the numbers on the King Centipede also filled in the numbers on the other unknown monsters. I would personally take those numbers with doubt, seeing as how a 78,000 HP Gatekeeper only gives 4,300 EXP, compared to the person's 51,000 HP "Duece Duck" giving more than four times as much. -EMP Demon 14:00, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Quality of monster notes

It looks like retarded monkeys (aka 13 year olds with bad typing skills and grammar) have been typing most of these. (Look at "Wild Boar")

It's a starting point, they're quite new. Maybe they aren't great, but rather than insulting someone who put the effort into it, you could help instead. -- Prod-You 03:21, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

I just wanted to add another question relating to the quality of the notes. What guidelines are there for monster info? Should it be restricted to battle tactics and well-known (rare) drops, or should other information be allowed in as well? -- EMP Demon 02:25, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Exactly as you said, only battle tactics and rare/notable drops. Perhaps items that are required for quests as well. Though there may be a lot of extra info for that so maybe another column could be used for that (with links to the relevant quest). If I can, I'll go through all the notes and try to clean them up a bit. -- Prod-You 15:25, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the drop lists for GlobalMS and MapleSEA are now different. This brings up a question: Do we leave item-related notes in, take them out, or do we change them to say "In MapleSEA, blah blah blah" as necessary? -EMP Demon 07:21, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Location Question

Where can these Chief Wood Board/ Chief Stone Wall monsters be found? -- Kevles
I'm not sure, but I think those monsters are KMS (Korean Maple Story) only. --EMP Demon 02:07, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
It is by Perion but in KoreaMS only for now. -- DarkNShadow 03:38, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Where the heck did those Evil mushmom and taurotorn monsters go?-- Skrub 05:25, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Etc.

To be purely for humor, please add the amount of hate newbies have for various monsters in the game. ex: Jumping mushrooms are the bane of newbies everywhere.

Memo: JMS Monster Experience

All monster experience data taken from JMS websites take into account the automatic 125% EXP boost that their servers receive. I corrected some of the incorrect experience counts I came across while editing, but most likely missed a couple.

I added a JMS EXP section in the template so we can have JMS EXP now. -- DarkNShadow 21:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Deleted Info

I found these had been deleted. The first from the monster sections, the 2nd and 3rd from the bosses section. Should they be put back in? -- Prod-You 10:37, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't know why some people think Motorcycle Zombie Lupin is fake but its real. Yes it should put all the info back but I do it. -- DarkNShadow 22:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I removed the info from here since DarkNShadow added it back to the main page, and it was huge here. -- Prod-You 11:03, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
