There are five different types of stages that Beraboh Man will travel through in his quest to stop Dr. Bakuda's plot for world domination. As he progresses through the game, new and tougher enemies are introduced to each of the environments, building upon and mixing with the enemies that have been previously introduced.

City (町)

This environment forms the basis for the first, second, fifth, sixth, tenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, nineteenth and twentieth stages. A "nocturnal" variation of this environment also forms the basis for the eighteenth stage. Obstacles which must be traversed in this environment include pipes, telephone boxes, buildings, telegraph poles, oil drums, industrial constructions, petrol pumps and electricity pylons. The primary forces of Dr. Bakuda's army are employed against Beraboh Man in this environment - including Unbaba, Mini Tanks, Dokanga, Mogura Drills, Baninga, Mokera, Magneiza NP1, Totems, Maitogai, Kikyuu, Mad Stampers, Purazuma, Attack Bomber V9, Toriga and Namekuji. Bosses awaiting Beraboh Man at the end of this environment include Black Beraboh and Zortan.

Ocean (海)

This environment forms the basis for the third, seventh, eleventh, sixteenth, twenty-first, twenty-fifth and twenty-seventh stages. The only obstacles in this environment are rocks, which will slowly drain Beraboh Man's energy if he is trapped between one and the left side of the screen. The underwater forces of Dr. Bakuda's army are employed against Beraboh Man in this environment - including Kurage, Maimai Men, Doragon, Ika, Isogin, Tamashii, Pirania, Tako, Umihebi, Shells, Tatsunoko, Kame and Gupi. Bosses awaiting Beraboh Man at various points throughout this environment include the Twin Scuren, the King of Atlantis and the Mecha-King of Atlantis.

Ninja Dojo (忍者屋敷)

This environment forms the basis for the fourth, eighth, twelfth, seventeenth, twenty-second, twenty-sixth, twenty-ninth, thirtieth and thirty-first stages. A "statue-filled" variation of this environment also forms the basis for the thirteenth stage, along with a "darkened" variation for the twenty-third stage and a "wintry" variation for the twenty-ninth stage. Obstacles which must be traversed in this environment include tree trunks, receding spikes, statues of Buddha and monuments of Dr. Bakuda. The secondary forces of Dr. Bakuda's army are employed against Beraboh Man in this environment - including Kakure Mino, Ninjas, Kago, Popo, Dango, Babito, Umbrellas and Karasu Tengu. Bosses awaiting Beraboh Man at various points throughout this environment include pairs of Kaname, Pistol Daimyo, several Goaan, Hanzou Hattori and Waya Hime.

Bonus Collection (ボーナスクレックション)

This environment forms the basis for the ninth and twenty-eighth stages. The ninth stage has a "heavenly" theme, and the twenty-eighth stage has a "cavernous" theme. In both stages, there are no enemies present at all - Beraboh Man simply has to collect as many powerups as he can in order to restore his energy and boost his score. However, Zortan will be awaiting him at the end of the ninth stage, and a pair of Kaname will be awaiting him at the end of the twenty-eighth stage.

Secret Laboratory (基地)

This environment forms the basis for the twenty-fourth and thirty-second stages. The twenty-fourth stage employs some of Dr. Bakuda's primary forces against Beraboh Man - including five Unbaba, a pair of Purazuma, an Attack Bomber V9, a lot of Totems, and the never-before-seen Block Brains. However, the thirty-second stage, as you will know by now, is the domain of Dr. Bakuda himself. Two pairs of Kaname will be awaiting Beraboh Man at the start of the stage, along with an instant appearance from Ugo 401. Once he has killed them all, he will have to fight Black Beraboh for a final time - who takes 22 more hits than usual to defeat here. Once he has delivered the final blow, Black Beraboh will reveal to Beraboh Man that Dr. Bakuda originally created him in order to make him stronger and give him five Onigiri energy bonuses to aid him in the final battle.
