You shall first have to connect your Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC or Commodore 64 and cassette recorder to your television, then switch all three of them on; you shall now have to place the cassette of Orpheus's 1985 adventure game The Young Ones into the recorder, rewind it (unless this is your first time playing), type LOAD "" (without leaving a space between the quotation marks), and press Enter to load the program into the console. You will then have to press 0 ( Enter in the CPC and C64 versions) or the stick's button to start the game; all four students will then appear (Rick and Neil in the top half, Mike and Vyvyan in the bottom one).
